Was wondering if a Bruiser can tank in a 4 man group setup such as this : fury, assassin, and a warlock and well the bruiser as the tank. Could a bruiser tank every mob just fine? We tend to dungeon grind a lot taking yellow-oj^^^ . Anyway is a bruiser capable of being a tank with this setup? Thanks

You should at least skill the WIS-line for the AoE-proc and crane-flock, and the Warlock has to learn when he can use his big AoEs.

It depends on your gear. It's harder for brawler to tank yellow to orange mobs since our avoidance works less on yellow to orange mobs. Not to say, you have only 1 healer. If you can't get raid gear, I would suggest you to play a plate tank. It's much easier to heal a casual plate tank than a casual brawler in tanking.

Or if you play your bruiser, possibly have the healer be a mystic or defiler.

I was tanking with my bruiser alt (lvl 69 at the time) in CoV and we only had one healer, a mystic. We were able to clear the zone pretty easily with my [Removed for Content] bruiser tanking and one healer.

Btw.: taking down orange mobs makes normally never really sense, as long as there is no need to do that. And the only heroic orange mob i ever needed to kill till now, was the endmob for Sol-Ro Cloak.

You won't find too much non-raid content where a platehead'd be that much better. It's an odd group, though - not that a Warlock can't do some nice single-target damage, but he's really more of an AoE type. Assassin and bruiser should put out a load of hurt. I'd try more yellow content.. more assured, and less recovery time.

Be that as it may, while a shaman would be a bit better, a fury'll do fine. Time your self-heal, and let him know, so you're not boosted to 100%.

Like Shalla said, the Warlock is the greatest problem, especially when youre taking two groups who are not connected. The open AE`s will steal youre aggro and with just one healer that will be bad. So he has to learn a special playstyle, but the dps of the warlock could definitely be more. The rest of the Setup is fine, a lot dmg from you and the assa and if time also from fury. But I guess with yellow mobs she has to heal you the most of the time But the Warlock or the bruiser should be resettet for a more optimal setup. The Warlock -> Wizard (i.e.) and the Bruiser -> Berzerker (i.e.). At least this Setup also works quite well I think, especially with the new Bruiser Buff to improve and reduce Aggro buffs/debuffs. If the Warlock goes down just the Debuff line it should Work better with every level. So if youre Chars are already out there, have fun If not, think about a Fury -> Defiler, Bruiser -> SK (both poison dmg and debuff) and with an Assa and Warlock this will be Hell on Earth. If you're going to be tanking with a warlock around, do yourself and the 'lock a huge favour and spec down to Altruism on the Agility tree. The 'lock will be stealing aggro from you in group encounters, that's pretty much unavoidable. But Altruism can mitigate the repair bills and ill-feeling that can be generated.Nowadays, I just watch the mobs I'm not currently targetting go running for the 'Lock, hit him, watch him fall to the ground, watch them come right back to me, and say something along the lines of "whatever it was that you just did.. don't do it again this early into a fight."
