I have just re-installed EQ2 after being away from it for sometime an am getting a lot of graphic anomolies (see attached image). Plus on occasions have been attacked by invisible characters. I have tried re-installing Nvidia drivers 163.71, also used Driver cleaner. Its a new card (bought about 1 month ago). Have tried various settings, image taken using default performance profile of 'Very high performance'. Have also tried various settings in Nvidia control panel, 3D settings. I have had similar issues with some other games, but have always resolved them with a bit of tweaking. Any ideas?

I am running Win XP Home SP2 - P4 CPU 2.53ghz - 1gb RAM - MSI 7600GT 512mb AGP8 - 1024x768 res - 19in CRT.

have you tried if running a full file scan helps? (its an option in the launchpad)

Hi,

I tried performing a full scan of files and it downloaded files char.eca2.vpk, char.eca3.vpk z00s21.vpk & char.exp03.global.02.vpk as is each time I log in, the same files are downloaded. It appears that many other users are having this particular problem. Also had been searching for a NPC and found that the reason I could not find him was that he was invisible.

I tried logging into the US server and eventually was able to get a clean scan, but still the problem with graphics exists.

As for the corrupt graphics, Invisible NPC's plus being attacked by invisble scouts, the game is currently unplayable.

in another thread whre people where reporting similar problems it was stated that updating the graphicscards drivers help, however, in yet another thread its stated that updating the graphicscards drivers screwed up the graphics... since you have nothing to loose though, i'd say go ahead and update to the latest drivers.

I am already on the latest drivers and the ones recommended by EQ. I had the same problem on the previous drivers as well. However I have tried re-installing the drivers again plus using driver cleaner and the problem still occurs.

The Launchpad seems to always download certain .vpk files every time you run it. I did a lot of troubleshooting in this posthttp://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...19and it looks like the easiest solution is to try the new (beta) Station Launcher. If you play on non-US servers you'll need to either run Everquest2.exe directly or the old Launchpad after that since the Station Launcher doesn't support foreign servers yet.I think they aren't fixing bugs with the current Launchpad + patch servers any more.Othesus - Dirge - Lucan DLereVaspar - Fury - Lucan DLere
