Please do not move this thread. This is not an LoN thread. This is an EQ2 thread. It is intended FAO EQ2 development, not LoN development. Thank you!

I am unhappy with the way that EQ2 items and effects are being granted to LoN loot cards. I was under two impressions, which I feel have turned out to be false.

1) I thought the loot cards would be nice, but not that nice. Flaming gloves? Sort of fun, but not that desirable, that's okay. Illusion crate? WOW! How cool is that?! There's NOTHING like that in EQ2. Illusions may be fluff, but they are *particularly* desirable fluff, and should be available in game. On a similar note, a once a day heal if not fluff. 2) I thought that if you didn't want to pay for boosters, you would get this sort of stuff from booster packs which dropped in game. I have never seen a booster pack drop, let alone have a booster pack drop, win the roll and then have a loot card I want in it. While obtaining these items in game is presently possible, the chances are so remote as to approximate to zero.

I suggest the following:

1) In future, ensure that what they're giving out in LoN really is fluff. I don't know what you do about the once a day heal... I guess you can't remove it, so you pretty much have to give it to everyone. Maybe stick it as a reward for quest in RoK.2) For particularly desirable items (illusions, mounts etc) ensure that the item is available in game through some quest or other. For example, there's a Loot Card which is a warg mount. That's fine, because I can get a warg mount through a quest if I want one.

I'm sure someone will point out that I'm a meany head. Really, I'm not. Well, not much.

- I don't mind LoN players getting highly desirable things- I don't mind LoN players getting (effectively) exclusive access to things- I DO mind LoN players getting things which are both exclusive and highly desirable

The once a day heal item was given for playing in a tourny, anyone could get it. It was a $10 dollars I believe to enter. You make no good points in this post. You whine about people getting loot cards from opening packs of cards. As you mentioned packs do drop in the game. While others out spending THEIR OWN money on packs of cards getting items you sit griping because you can't/don't want to buy any packs. Do I whine when I see a guild take down an avatar and get a nice item? I mean I don't have the play time to raid or be in a raiding guild. Should they find an alternative methods of getting raid equipment? Should I be able to go kill a mob in the newbie zone and have it drop me some uber 70 item? At least in EQ2 they added loot drops for packs, how about WoW that you have to buy a pack of cards from the store, with a way lower chance of a loot card.

Wrong.

Yes you had to pay 10 dollars plus have a register account which costs 3 dollars.

But the tourny was only open to US Citizens and then only in 43 of the states.

Interesting how LoN loot is being compared to Raiding....ROFLMAO.....whatever. Raiding is and has always been a key point to this game and most other MMO's. Raiding doesn't cost you any extra out of game cash and only drops are obtainable by those people willing to take the time to raid. LoN drops are available to anybody with more out of game cash than they need (obviously) and/or somebody that wants a fast track to certain items (not currently offered in the game any other way).

Read some of the other posts peeps. People are out there spending Several Hundread Dollars on booster packs and such......just to obtain these items that don't drop in EQ2. There are numerous complaints in these forums about people that have spent 500 to 1000 dollars on booster packs in order to get these items. [Removed for Content].......great that you have that kind of money, but how is this any different than buying items and plat off of Ebay? It's not, it's just SoE condoned ;P

I do play LoN from time to time but refuse to play in these tourneys against people that have spent that kind of money and have near every card available. I've personally recieved a couple booster packs from my guildmates, but nothing compared to what these ...........ummm......more money than brains people have. Great for them, more power to your fast track to nice items and such. Honestly though..........SoE seems to have trouble controlling the plat buying and sales of gear and toons, so they just created a new way

Sooooo, you want an armored warg, or maybe even that carpet that only comes from booster packs? No prob........if you have the cash........just go spend 100's of dollars on booster packs. No questing, No time in game, No need for a raid, No need for a guild or friends, No need to worry about what level you are, No skill needed whatsoever............Just bring the bucks man.......we'll GIVE you one

Bah, whatever.........like any of this ever really matters..........it's all just talk to Sony anyway

I'm kind of disappointed that they have it in-game for PvP. "Don't buy plat unless you're on an exchange server". Yet you can do just that with the cards.

Basically all the servers are now Station Exchange with LoN.
