Hello picking a class on this game is more difficult then anything ive faced in any other game. I like the biggest numbers on my screen possible! I hate pets, hate scout classes (in this game). Does wizard or warlock do more single target big number hits (ignoring the class descriptions)? What I noticed while leveling my Fury is that I dont see wizards anywhere and it makes me wonder if all these new warlocks know something that I dont? Did they nerf the crap out of wizard or something because I see alot of new players on Ant Bayle, none of which are wizards. Any advice would be great thanks.

All else being equal, wizards have an edge in single target dmg output over warlockswarlocks have an edge in multiple target dmg output over wizards. If you want to see the single big number on the parse (not dps btw), wizards almost always will have the single biggest hit (fusion) on the parse (though assassins decapitate gets in there a lot too)On your server there are roughly twice as many wizards then there are warlocks (7354 wizards/3869 warlocks)At lvl 70 it approaches 3 to 1 (454/180).Personally I prefer being a warlock to being a wizard (though I guess that would be obvious considering which board this is)

Depends what you want I guess. Would you rather have 5k damage flying off of 2 mobs (warlock) or 10k damage flying off of 1 mob? (wizard)Another thing to consider is that most of the people you group with are people who have 70s who are leveling up the rarer classes. For example, when I was level to 70 I grouped with maybe 2 or 3 druids, and I would almost always group with a bard or an enchanter. But then when I got to level 70 I found that druids were everywhere and its difficult to find a bard/enchanter at all.The same goes for wizards and warlocks. When I was going from 1-69 warlocks were everywhere, and wizards were rare. But then I got to level 70 and there's almost always 2-3 wizards lfg, and rarely any warlocks.

The trouble is, lately most Wizards will climb up to a top level position and resort to mana-burning on every pull.  This lowers DPS considerably, and although they get to see a really neat big hit .. they come in under the wire when the parse is displayed. This is because they will actually do *more* damage without manaburn in most cases then with.  Your little stuff will add up to be more then the one big spell. Also, if you put a really good player behind a warlock with good gear .. we'll *still* top a Wizard in single target damage.Don't say that very loudly though, they'll freak out <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
