Hello all, Played a bit of EQ1, and followed it up with a long stint in WoW, but a little WoW burnt so I figured I would try something new. My character in EQ1 was a Barbarian Shaman, so I believe I will be making a Barbarian Mystic here. I was just wondering if there were any servers in particular that were known for good people with a nice population. I do not care much for PvP since everything I have read so far says this game isn't known for its PvP, and has many faults. I have never done RP but would not be against it, my main goal is end-game raiding. Thank you in advance for any information, and I apologize if it seems redundant.

Oasis is kind of bleh...people are nice but a lot of plat seller spam, but you can always take that out of your chat window.

If you're looking for a nice community we'll take ya

And don't listen to anything any Oasisians say about me!

I played EQ1 myself (way back when) and I also had that mandatory stint in WoW.

When I rolled a character back in July in EQ2, I did it on the Antonia Bayle server and never once regretted it. There is a fantastic community and, it seems, a large playerbase working their way up through the levels before Rise of Kunark. If you haven't decided as of yet, I would swing by and check it out.

Best of luck!

I second that, on choosing AB.

I've played on both Unrest and Antonia Bayle and can say there are good people on both. I believe the largest population is found on AB though. It's been some time since I played on Unrest, as I only started there because I had some former EQLive guildies starting characters there. They all eventually left EQ2, so I eventually restarted on AB for more roleplaying and haven't regretted it at all. I'm in a great guild and I've encountered few jerks (Though some of the OOC chat in the "level" channels and in some zones can be a bit ) in the population at-large.Either server is good. If you think you're likely to try a little more roleplay, then AB is probably a better choice.

Yet another vote for Antonia Bayle. I've been nothing but impressed with the community.
