Hi All,well the Swashbuckler I created on release day of EQ2 is slowly but surely climbing the ranks. Yes I am a VERY casual player! Background: I either solo or duo with a mate who is a same level Paladin. (great duo by the way) I am specced STR WIS on the Rogue tree.I'll be 62 in a couple of days and looking to buy my mastercrafted suit of armour.I noticed there are 3 different sets of the Xegonite chain. Revenant, Brigand and Chainmail I think. The Chainmail looks the best for a Swashbuckler stat wise but should I mix in a couple of pieces of the other types to spread out my stats or just go with straight STR/AGI/STA?Alternatively are there any pieces of fabled around that level that turn up on the broker?Next on to weapons: Currently using a Sword of the Bixie. It has a higher DPS than even the level 62 mastercrafted items. Is there another reasonably priced one hander out there that I should look for? Thanks,Tork, 61 Barbarian Swashbuckler.

You sure are taking your time, lol. As far as the armor goes --- If you want to go with Zeg. then yes the chainmail is the best option. That said if you want to mix in a few pieces of HArmonious(the bard set) it will give you Str,Agi and Int. The Int will really help with poison and proc damage as I bet your Int is probably pretty low. But i would recommend checking the broker. There are sme legendary pieces out there from KoS zones that have been run 1x10^50 times that really outshine the mastercrafted stuff. Same w/ weapons. Off the top of my head there is a spear in Mines of Meldrath called the Burning Beam that is a fairly common drop off one of the names that at 62 Should be very green and your dou might be able to take.

And IMO you should drop the WIS line for Agi cuase you can do more damage dual weilding unless you get one of the top 10 weapons in the game.

Steelrend's Flight Blade is a nice one, too. Drops from a fairly close-in Named guy (the armory...?) in SoS. Zeg armor till you can get some of the nicer quested pieces (Claymore and whatnot), then, of course, your legendary set pieces at 69 - is my advice.

I tried the WIS line, but really like dual wielding so went STR/AGI and am pretty happy with it. I'm playing around with spec though, since respecs are still fairly cheap.

I figured that STR/AGI would be better with the weapons I have available and I was running that for a while. But it is all about style and "Fencer Tork the Distinguished" is gonna win out every time Thanks for the ideas on equipment. I'll check out those weapons and see what I can do about some INT for the poisons. Maybe Jewelry is my best bet for the INT.

Yeah..but Blackguard Tork the Distinguished and Pirate Tork the Distinguished both sound pretty good too!

Hmm, I had toyed with the idea of Pirate Tork the Treasure Hunter. That has a nice ring to it Maybe when the new expansion comes out and we can put more AAs into the Rogue tree. The Blade of the Bixies I am using is better than the 2 weapons mentioned. It doesn't seem to be beaten at that level and to top it off it looks cool. It is normally on the broker for around 30g.

You could go get the Blade of Bixies, too..on Bixie Isle. That is..if you can beat Farmers to the Named ../frown.
