For my necro I always found Poet's Palace a good farm. Its an instance and soloable. =)

Well, my 70 necro isn't super rich but I have over 50 plat in broker sales, and thats not counting the direct to player sales so I do ok, and here are some of my tricks. First, you gotta AA spec for solo, which means tainted heals and stamina line, then you farm the Nest. I can kill all but the last named, and each trip yields usually close to a plat in just vendoring junk, not to mention if you get metal chests. I've gotten prob 6 or more masters out of it, and stuff from ornate chests goes for 30-50 gold.

Other thing I do is before end of my playing session for the day I run out to Acadachism and kill the first named in there. He's right by entryway so it only takes like 5-10 minutes, and he's always dropped an ornate or exquisite chest for me. Then you log out for the night right outside the door. When you log back in the next day you can go in again and get another chest in less thasn 10 min. Won't make you the Bill Gates of EQ2 but you won't be poor either.

I normally start my day off with a Poet's Palace run. I skip all the statue moving as I don't mind the loss of 2 nameds. Doing that I am normally done there within 30-45 minutes; depending on how long I have to wait on the doors. Then I head up to Barren Sky to do the Nest. As a necro it is possible to clean out the whole instance. Especially if you have the Manipulation, STA and WIS solo setup. I use another robe other that one X'Haviz drops. So if you get one of those to drop that's a piece worth 56g at the vendor, if memory serves me well. Then I will head out to Lesser Faydark just to swing by and check to see if the named queen bee is up before going to Greater Faydark for Acadachism. In here I kill the first 2 nameds and everything in between. Reason is that atleast 1 trash mob tends to drop an Ornate Chest and on occasions an Exquisite one. For the second named I pet pull it out of the room with all the Blade Giests in it. Once done here if I still got time I will go to Kaladim or to SoS. In Kaladim I kill the Queen, Commander Ursus with Pawcrusher and the Ringmaster ring event if it is up. In SoS I basically just clean out anything and everything for the body loot armor pieces they drop. By filling my bags with junk in SoS I normally get about 2p from the vendor.

Wow, some great tips in here. I've been farming the nest regularly but didn't think about Acad. The level cap increase is doing some wierd stuff to pricing on my server, but there is still money to be made. I got level 68 and 69 spells yesterday. The highest of the two only netted 3pp but money is money.

Not sure if they nerfed the drops in Acad, but so far after 10 tries now I am only netting about 50-60g per each visit and that is killing everything but the Dvinn room. SoS is the way to go although I've seen a considerable increase in the necro population there so its getting competitive now.

All mobs there are under 70 and soloable. Most you can simply root/nuke to kill. If your smart though, you go with a wis/sta spec with Tainted heals, using your tank pet, u can simply wait on a spawn, nuke the named once, make sure pet is on a passive stance so he don't attack until you say.... back up a bit, smack your PC, and attack commands for pet, FD, all other mobs will reset and you get the named as a solo pull. Great thing bout the City though is , all mobs are on about a 10 minute repop and a few don't have placeholders, the only 2 ive found that don't have same timers is the squid in the water and the Portal guardian to Nizara.

Nother benefit to this is, the zone is rarely populated, and not everyone has the expansion which gives you a slight chance to have less ganking incidents. I do still however keep my totems up just in case. I think I've only been ganked in there one time when i was lvl 65, otherwise i see it all coming and since its an indoor zone, most people won't just outright attack ya, or it doesn't really help them much to try to attack someone in an area with 10-12 mobs in agro range that will completely destroy them, meanwhile we have the tools to deal with it.

Acad does seem to have lost some of its drop potential. When the expansion first came out I hit the zone a few times and got a +damage/+heal item from the wisps. They were LORE, but I was seeing up to 5-6 drop on every clearing of just the first few rooms. I recently betrayed my conj over to necro and decided to go back for one (my gear blows). After six clearings I have not seen one yet.

Best item I've walked out with yet is a legendary bracelet from the first named. Adds +20 dmg to all spells.
