Does anyone know what common family names are used in the DoF or know where I could find such information? My characters background has her family coming from that part of the world a few generations back. Only level 30 so can't quite go check for myself just yet. Thank you.

Since you haven't begun building status with any factions in Maj'Dul, 95% of the city will not be agro to you. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Just head down to the Sinking Sands, and take the carpet near the beach, up to the city. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Other than Dorn B'Dynn, there weren't any actual named dervishes in Eqlive. Traveling around Maj'Dul and Sinking Sands is your best bet to research thier names.

When I decided to roll a Dervish character, I could not find nearly as much info as I wanted on names, history, lore, etc. To fill the gap, I drew loosly on Arabic names because it always seemed to me that Maj'Dul and the Dervs were based on that to some extent. I named my character Seric Al'Akhar. I know another Derv player who named his Valkh Sayad. There is a player who roleplays a Derv on Antonia Bayle very well and has done a lot of research into the dress, speech, etc., to bring her character and guild theme to life. Her character is Lanai ibst'Essene. If you email on guildportal, I'm sure she'll hook you up. You might be able to glean some good info from her guild website as well - Court of the Moon. He was an agent for the Indigo Brotherhood, and not an actual dervish, but all the same he was the only named NPC you'd ever find at any of the dervish nomad camps.
