How much better is a Level 24 Tank Pet Master 1 compared to the App3 version?

How much better is a Level 24 Tank Pet Master 1 compared to the App3 version?The cost difference is HUGE, on my server, the App3 is 50g, the Master 1 is 2p 50g.I wanted to know if anyone really could tell me how much "better" the Master 1 Pet is supposed to be, or if it is just a skin change, and real change to the pet itself.Thanks in advance.

Don't waste your money, you'll outlevel the level 24 pet relatively quickly.I would, on the other hand, get the <i>Adept</i> 3 (not Apprentice 3) version made. The cost will be about 5-10 times less (if you harvest the Palladium Cluster yourself, it won't cost much at all!), and it will serve you quite well, at least until level 38 when the next upgrade to your tank pet comes around.The difference betwee Master 1 and Adept 3 is about 12-14% more damage in the Master 1's favor, and Master 1 to Apprentice 3 is about 60%.

I agree with the Adept-III path especially once you reach L.50+. It's just close to impossible to keep every spell Master-I. But also keep an eye for real Master-I bargains on the Broker. This past week I've been finding L.30ish Necro Master-I books being posted for equal or less then Adept-III prices. I picked up a scout pet Master-I for less then the price of all the Adept-III being sold. In fact after buying it I had to post up the Adept-III scout pet that my main made.

Yea I know what you mean about Master I deals... I got a Swarm of Rats for same price as the Adept III was going for. Felt like a good deal.

To me master pets are a bit of a special case. I'd like to have them all mastered because of their appearance <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Most pets have a distinct appearance at master level. At least at level 20+. The level 12 master is the same as the A3 and I've never seen the level 1 master, yet.Possess your pet to see the differences. For example all the pet's spells are the same quality than the pet itself.2,5p sounds cheap. It looks like I'll be stuck using an Adept-III Rotting Thrall once I reach that level. I try to keep several pre-made Broker searches for key equipment and Master pet books. The only Rotting Thrall I Master being sold for the past two weeks is carrying a 14P price tag. A bit pricey for a mid-range pet IMHO.
