I have gone back and forth with aa set ups mainly due to the fact my guild hasnt been ready for eof content. Well looks like eof content will begin for us soon so here is my question ive tried a ton of aa set ups so much so that they are prohibitavly expensive now recently i have been 448 str agil stam for more dps cause well lets face it kos mobs arent hard ever unless ya have lousy healers. i switched to stam agil lines(havent tried it out yet in raid) to add more defence for eof i have 0 eof fabled gear atm (god hope that changes been kos fabled forever).would i be better served with an agil int set up to max my defence or will stam agil be enough (i know its an odd set up but wanted to see how it would work) i have VERY good templar and defiler and my off warden is also an exceptional healer MT group set up is normaly dirge swash me temp defiler sometimes coercer if we have one if not then warden slots in my avoidance buffs over 62% if i remember off top of my head with current set up on raids might be higher i cant remember off top of my head. im just tryin to get some feedback from other gaurds ive even considered switchin int agil then going 2hder or duel weild but not sure my gear is enough for eof mobs like that yet thanks in advance (and yes i have maxed out with adornments before anyone asks)

<p>I am sure my build is very unorthadox, but thats just the way I roll..lol</p><p>I have STR 446 AGI 446 STAM 445 and INT 44</p><p>STR for some crit bump</p><p>AGI to help on multi encounters or whole room pulls (which, of course I would never do...=P)</p><p>INT to keep Haste, Cast and Recovery going almost all the time (22 of 30 possible secs)</p><p>STA for the obvious DPS boost from Buckler hits and Dbl Attacks (which works nice with AoE auto attack)</p><p>I am sure there are better builds, just throwing up mine...no I don't really care about end abilities...and with 20 more points coming from RoK its about to become an even better build, imho</p><p>EDIT: For some reason it's not showing in this Sig, odd...but i have a 66 Guardian</p>

Did you take the final Block? On paper looks pretty weak sauce, and was thinking of tossing the point into the stoneskin or tos.

Not sure how your gear is but a nice spec I currently use that seems to be a nice mix of dps and defense is 4-4-8-7-2 STA4-6-4-8-2 INTI use this spec currently and have tanked all eof instances with success. Parsing 2k-2.4k on most encounters in offensive stance with a buckler. Festering flesh buckler from unrest I'd recommend till you get buckler of the howler. There's plenty of other effective specs you can use as well.

<p>great ari a new spec for me to ponder dam they realy need to give me more cards or lower prices for respects hehe </p><p>actualy i never even considered going stam and int man i missed that one in my many tries i like it and can see where the dps comes from hows your survivability and keep in mind im full KoS fabled atm so nothing great gear wise using vul sword and fetish buckler ive pretty much maxed myself until i get into eof gear just need to wait till guilds capable (hopefully very soon and pre lvl caps)</p>

I'm in EH on a break right now so can't give you a detailed breakdown but that spec has a decent blend of defensive boost and offensive boost. You should be able to parse 1.6-1.8k with your weapons, or higher if the conditions are right. I'm using the Grim Brimstone Hammer right now.

<p>Buckler spec</p><p>str 4,4,8 - crits</p><p>sta 4,4,8 - double attack</p><p>agi 4,4,8 - 40% auto-aoe, extra AoE attack for reinforcement</p><p>1 left over for whatever</p><p> Temp + Defiler + Dirge is plenty for EoF. If you add Warden for really hard/odd encounters you'll be fine.</p>

Buckler avoidance is useless as soon as you learn to hotswap a tower shield effectively.</p><p>Parry is cappable with a Dirge in the group, and the points from the Int line have negligible effect anyway.</p><p>I'm really freakin' impressed with your raid's buffers/debuffers if you're breaking 2k zonewides without Str448. All high end weapons (including the SoD reward, GBH, and AoUW) have a large damage spreadand benefit tremendously from a high crit %.</p><p>For me it's always been the case that Str448 is a must, then Agi448, Sta448, and Int 484 all have their appeal. The 4th tier and final abilities aren't worth the points for the extremely minimal defensive benefits. The Wis line should be avoided at all costs in it's entirety.</p><p>The AA setup for highest zonewides using a 1H (excluding LoA) is Str448 Sta448 Int485 because it's maxed single target DPS.</p><p>The only exception is if you have Chirat, AoUW, or SoPV then Str448 Agi448 Int485 will yield the most damage (with Illu in MT group instead of Coercer).</p><p>The setup for best aggro control is Str448 Agi458 Sta448, sacrificing zonewide DPS for better group damage and thus hate. If you're good enough at target cycling this spec doesn't seem necessary, but if you don't have the optimal raid setup or gear for aggro control it's a useful spec.</p><p>Any other spec is, imo, a mistake that's costing you significant dps and hate for minimal returns.</p>
