They are a great solo class for surviveability due to feign death. A well equipped bruiser can solo a lot of stuff, but I think root/nukers will be able to solo a lot of things a bruiser can't.

Bruisers are generally considered more solo oriented than monks as they can heal themselves better and I believe have a little better dps.

but if the bruisers CA are on a "much" longer reuse/CD then the monks ca whil that not even it out? not defending monk here, but whanna decide what to roll hate to wait for CD before attacking. and i allready decided to roll brawler, so please keep clothi out of this:p

Well I know the bruiser heal is on a much shorter cooldown and heals for quite a bit more. I'm not exactly sure of the details on the cooldowns for bruisers, but I know that on my brigand even though I have a lot of pretty long cooldowns I just spread them out between different fights and I always have one or two handy for any given fight.

You won't be soloing the toughest possible thing you can manage most of the time, but instead you'll solo a lot of stuff that's fairly easy and then occasionally test your skills on the tough stuff. That being the case if you have to wait for a cooldown or two on those rare occasions you really stretch your ability against a single encounter you probably won't mind waiting for the cooldowns....especially if it means you'll be doing more damage, taking less damage, and healing yourself for more damage as a bruiser.

skill list

http://home.comcast.net/~eq2gamedata/main.html

As for the looks....they have mostly the same emotes for the different attacks.

As for invis I'm not really sure what bruisers have to offset it, but I hear monk invis is not that great and can be easily compensated for with totems and with feign death.

For 'fun spells' I think the bruiser has the cooler looking ones, you'll have to check the skill list for that.

Bruisers are an excellent solo class. Monks solo great as well, but they're a bit more group friendly - they can use their heal on others and eventually they get a group FD which has saved more than a few groups I've been in. The Monk invis is handy for scouting, but with our feign death Brawlers don't generally have too much trouble avoiding a painful death while looking around.Bruisers have a bigger heal with a much faster recast time (90 seconds), but it's self only. With the right achievements, a Bruiser can get it down to 82 seconds. Monk heal recast is 3 minutes, I'm not sure how much they can improve that with achievement. Funny, the spell my Bruiser has that generates the most envious tells from Monks is Sonic Fists. It's a long range attack that teleports you to the target and then a couple seconds later teleports you back to where you started. It's a fun spell to pull with Both Brawler classes are a blast to play. I think the most amusing race to watch do the Kung Fu is the Gnome. I love my Iksar Bruiser though, and with his Blood Hide Gi, he finally gets to show off his colors!
