hello all, playing a monk atm. atm im happy whit my monk, but my RL friend is playing assasin and i feel like i whould have more fun if we where in the same town. i also have been thinking of betraying before, but cant decide bq i realy like the monk moves.I have heard that monk are bether to solo and worse to solo, i heard ppl saying that they betrayed from monk to bruiser and it was the best think they ever did, and the other way around. I know that bruiser do more burst dmg, but the bruiser skills have a longer reuse. i whil never raid in this game, so who whil have the "most" dps while solo and groups? if the bruiser skills are on a to long reuse, i whould belive that monk whould be bether since they dont have to wait for the cooldown. All my spells have a 30sec cooldown whitout a kick that are on 10sec cooldown. what cooldown do bruisers have? (talking about fighting skills/spells here)And the <u>most </u>importent thing, who looks best, i know i have asked this question before.. but i what your opinion now.So IF i decide to go and betray, whil i be able to use the armor i gain from the armor quest (the one i did in quenos) ?found this on a post:------<span class="postbody">So, if you wanted to be a neutral (though good-leaning) Wood Elf Inquisitor, let me know if this is correct:<div></div><div>1) Make Wood Elf Templar</div><div></div><div>2) Level to 10</div><div></div><div>3) Betray your good town</div><div></div><div>4) Become a citizen of another town, thereby becoming an Evil Wood Elf Inquisitor instead of a Templar</div><div></div><div>5) Betray your evil town, becoming "neutral"</div><div></div><div>6) Do faction quests to all the towns so you can go anywhere without being killed</div><div></div><div>Is that it? What are the downsides? Are there others than these:</div><div></div><div>A) Must live in Haven or that other town with the apostrophe</div><div></div><div>Can you still use brokers, etc., in every town? Tradeskill helpers? Etc.</div><div></div><div>Thanks!------ anyone have any more info about this?i mean, if i betray my monk i whil end up as a bruiser, and if i betray once again. whil become a monk again? Realy hope i can get some advice here. since im not enjoying the game atm. </div></span>

<p>Faction quests for all the towns?</p><p>Even if you could go anywhere, you'd still be an Exile - do they even have banks? I suppose you could work your faction in MajDul high enough to get a room in that town, since Haven doesn't have rooms to let. All I know is, if you're trying to be a bruiser in Qeynos or Kelethin, <i>that</i> won't work.</p>

<p>You can't build faction up for every town. As you gain faction for the good cities you lose it with the evil ones.</p><p>Just roll up a bruiser and level it to 10-15ish and see how you like it, then you can decide to betray or not.</p>

If you wanted to betray your monk to bruiser, it would be more the following :1) Make a wood elf monk2) Level to 15-20.3) Betray your good town. (This makes you an Exile, transports you to Haven and sets your good faction to -50000).4) Go to the Evil Faction Quest giver outside Qeynos gates. (Your evil faction is also -50000).5) Do quests for this guy until your evil faction rises to +10000.6) Get invited to go to Freeport and do Citizenship quests, this makes you a Citizen of Freeport and raises your evil faction to +50000.7) Talk to your class trainer and you'll switch from Monk to Bruiser.Once you're a citizen of freeport, you can use all the brokers etc. in the evil towns (Freeport & Neriak), the carpets, that sort of thing. Just betraying and becoming an Exile won't make you a Bruiser, you have to go all the way through to becoming a citizen of Freeport.Once you become a Bruiser, all of your Combat Arts are replaced with App1 levels of the Bruiser equivalent. So you'll need to replace them. Additionally, you will no longer be able to wear any equipment that is "Monk Only". And yes, if you then betray Freeport back to Qeynos, you'll become a Monk again. The only major downside to this whole thing is the number of quests you have to do to raise your faction to +10000. That can take a while.

You don't need to do the Citizenship quests, and don't try to tell me otherwise because i have betrayed my brawler 13 times.</p><p>If you wanted to be a monk and have status with both, it would look like this.</p><p>1) Level your monk to whatever.</p><p>2) Betray Qeynos.</p><p>3) Do faction quests for freeport to get your faction to +10000, doing the +5000 faction quests. You'll do better as a bruiser. Short fights favor us. Plus we're better soloers do to the fact that we have better burst dps and a self heal on a shorter reuse timer. You'll do good enough with either though imo.
