Hello Everyone,

I am posting here because I am a rookie to this game but not MOG's in general. I just started playing EQ2 after a long break and am on Venekor Server Evil side. I realize that my friend and I have probably chosen one of the hardest servers to start, but we love PVP. This is where the problem begins, we are level 13 now but it started at level 10ish. Every time we start to level or quest we get ganked by a solo toon that is the same level or less. We have a Defiler and a Zerker and we can't even touch any of them or come close to healing their damage output! I am looking for two bits of advice. One, how do we twink out our characters to compete from level to level now that I know it will be a constant battle, and the alternative where can we go (if anywhere) that will be less likely to find them? I just need to know how to to do it?

Any help will be most appreciated and if it works at least you will know that EQ2 has grown by two, hahahaha. The alternative is that frustration will drive us away!

Thanks for the help in advance.

Step one get out of darklight go to the sewers. Unless you are familiar with the pvp and the rules in pvp you will die. To compeet with twinks you need gear and spells and skill. Problem is skill comes with time and getting ganked cuts into your time to get skill. gear ceoms with harvesting along with spells.

The zerker should be in blackened iron plate and diefiler in blackened iron chain.

Buying plat will get you the gear and spells you want but wont get you the ability to play your toon.

Do you leveling inthe sewers and what not there are almost no qs downthere and you can learn your toons in peace.

I know that new content must be tempting, but stay out of dlw. Its the fotm newbie zone and its where all the twinked out gankers hang out. Id suggest lvling up to 20 quickly, you wont miss to much of the content and you get to the real pvp. Harvest or tradeskill to make some money and do as many quests as you can for aa.

i cant believe someone just advocated buying plat, or gave the inference that its similar to grabbing food and drink off a merchant.

sheeesh.

peeps wonder whats wrong with the game roflz.

If one of you has the patience to take up a tradeskill, look into Jewelcrafting. A jeweler will make all of your jewelry, and your belt, saving you some coin. Also, you can take the rares you've harvested that you don't use and turn them into moneymakers. Generally, when somebody who has the plat decides to twink, they'll just go out and buy the items. I usually sell a set at a time (2 rings, 2 earrings, sometimes a necklace or scarf).

If you can find a mage to port you there, I would recommend it. It's not nearly as popular for gank squads as DLW. And even though it is in enemy territory, there are bank services available in the nursery newbie area north of GFay.
