Ever since LU 39 went live I have to patch every day from 5 min to 40 min plus. It seems to always be the same files being installed I have done a complete file check. I have also Turned off any extra content. This is getting old. Is any one else having this issue and if so how do I stop it.

This is a long shot, but do you have ProTools installed by any chance? I had the same issue that seemed to go on forever and finally found an obscure post mentioning that EQ2 is not compatible with ProTools. Sounded completely crazy to me but turned out to be completely correct. Once I uninstalled ProTools from my game box all patching problems disappeared for good.

I do not think so. as I have no clue what that is. Only thing I did was add a spyware tool, and down load the station launcher in the last 4 months. All was fine till they did LU 39 and not it always patches before I can log in. My current wait time tonight is over an hour for some VPK. The files are always VPK

It patches everytime I log in too...but it's usually around 30secs to 2mins for me...not to the point where it's annoying, but still, you gotta wonder what all that's for...
most of the patches i get are for lon....

Its mostly LoN crap they are patching in when you log in most of the time. Amazing how a stupid card game that a minority of the population even cares about is being soo obtrusive to the rest of us.

It is a very boring problem that many of us are having. Do yu also play on an european server?<a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=388390" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=388390</a><a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=387514" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=387514</a><a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=387994" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=387994</a><a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=388126" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=388126</a>Many people having this issue, have also the additional problem that cannot see some races.

I currently split my time between an American and Euro server. And I get the patchs each time I log in.At this time I am getting a patch of over 30 mintues, and if I was to close the log in and switch from one to the other would have to patch again. I do not have the issue with seeing differnt races. I just want this stupid patch to stop.

Both my husband and I are having the same issue. We switch between the EU and US servers and have had this problem since LU39. We suspect it may have to do with pushing down RoK content since this happened with the last expansion too.

This problem has only occurred since the last update, and seems to affect anyone who plays both EU and US servers. Every time I log in, I have to patch for anything between ten minutes and an hour. It's not only when moving between US and EU servers but every time I have to restart the client. As the game often crashes when zoning or when camping from one character to another, that means if I have three hours to play, I'm spending two of them waiting for it to patch the same files yet again. The scan only told me to patch again.I use Windows XP Pro, keep emptying the recycle bin, do daily defragging, virus and spyware checks and have no firewall on the computer. The anti-virus software is disabled before I run the game client.

Since the EU servers have not yet received GU39, you're patching the difference between the two each time you switch logins.

You could cut them a little slack, with that whole natural disaster/wild fires/San Diego evacuation thing.<a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?start=75&topic_id=387276" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...76</a>

I have found that for playing on US servers if you use the Station launcher it almost cuts out any patching. I am not switching back and forth any long but still get the horrid download times.

<p>Why bother running the patcher. Just run the game file and skip it.</p><p>I only run the patcher when I know a game update is due that day, I get an error that says my client version doesnt match, or i get weird bugs or CTD's(which isnt very often)</p><p>Iago</p>
