Graphic problems and missing griffen towers

I am having a problem.  Some characters appear to be falling thru the world on my screen but they are actually not falling thru the world.  I also can not see the griffen towers.  I see the griffen floating in the air where the tower is suppose to be.  I also can not go into certain zones because parts of the zones are missing.  I have ran a full file scan.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled thegame twice on two different hard drives.  I am running a p4 3.4 ghz.  2 gigs of ram.  windows vista 32 bit version.  I also have a nvidia geforce 8800 with something like 768 memory over clocked.  Sorry I cant remember more about the video card.  I have another computer that also has eq 2 on it and it is having none of these problems.  Does anyone have any suggestions or idea with what could be wrong?  I have played other online games and have not run into these problems on the other games.

I have been having the same problems for several days now as well. I am also seeing other geometry in game missing. I saw that there was a topic started some months ago about the issue but I don't know if it was ever resolved fully. Here are the screen shots of issues that I have had in the Feerrott and in the steppes. I also have issues where I cannot click on anything in nektulos.<img src="http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w279/bsuhs/EQ2_000003.jpg" alt="" border="0" />This is the big hole in the Feerrott that I see whenever i zone in, if I fall in the hole it "moves me to a safe point in the zone" which is a big black void and I can't get out unless I log off, log back on, and then port because the porting gets interrupted. I also would like to mention that using the bell does not work either currently for me.<img src="http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w279/bsuhs/EQ2_000001.jpg" alt="" border="0" />This is one of the missing griff towers that the OP was talking about I think.I hope this helps.

<p>OK i thought it was just me . I have changed video drivers to 3 different versions, to no avail, played with every video setting i can think of.</p><p>Your screen shots are  exactly the same as i see ,</p><p>Thundering Steepes , griffon towers missing, </p><p>Feerrot missing the what ever is at the end of the dock , mine looks just like that picture.</p><p>Also cannot click on anything in feerot.</p><p>Nekulos forrest ,  I can see  the items , I think. But the mariner bells , npc's , mail box , seem to be coming and going , even the sound from the fairies  goes away , as does orange circles on the map for npc with quests, when they disappear, also cannot click on things  in this zone. I can attack something IF it attacks me first .</p><p>ZEK, Antonica, kethlin, rest of steepes,qeynos,maul lib ,shifting sands are zones i have been to that seem to be ok.</p><p>OH there was a zone in greater faydark that had problems , Its a tunnel on the SE side with goblins or Gnolls in front of it , forget what its called, the tunnel is ok , but when i zone the area is all black like when you get teleported to safety after falling off the world in feerott.</p><p>I use Asus SK8N Mobo , AMD FX51 , ATI 9800XT 256mb , 1GB RAM , SoundBlaster Audigy 2zs. Windows XP pro</p><p> I loaded the system from the KOS disks and then used the patcher to update it.  I have done a number of file scans , nothing. defragged etc.</p><p>Thought i would see if another computer had this problem , i used the installer from the eq2 site and downloaded the whole thing, that one crashes with some game-cpp error when trying to load the zone. still working on that one to see if i can get it going.</p><p>After reading some of the other links to this problem , sure looks to me to be some sort of installer issue.  </p>

Yes lets hear from a Dev on this matter, Ive been looking every where, and cant find a response from soe on this matter, a little help guys, even if you have no-clue at least tell us your aware of this problem....

First only took 30 mins to update second 50 mins. </p>
