Heading says it all. I would be grateful for your thoughts on this. Thank you.
If you are lvl 70, get yourself the Buckler of Blight (shield from Blight) and a 1 handed hammer. I hava fabled 1 hander/buckler of blight, and a 2 handed fabled hammer, and I hardly use the 2 hander.If you are not lvl 70 and group mostly go symbol in off hand.If you solo try to find a shield with WIS on it.I hope this helps.Parmasniper (70 Warden)

It does, thank you. Just to clarify, I am lvl 15 and on a pvp server and will be soloing mostly. It would appear you are recommending shield with whatever decent weapon I can get?
Yes.I do not PVP, but for solo any kind of combat a shield that has WIS on it will be your best friend, as we can only wear leather

I'd still say 2-hander ftw!

Use BSMaul myself and while its slow, i still like it very much. Its kinda appealing to hit over 1k with your autoattack But, i dont have access to fabled items anyway, so... maybe a good 1 hander with nice shield would be ok. Then again, my avoidance only goes up for 5-7% when switching from 2h to shield (iirc). For me, that isnt enuff to compensate for the dps loss (mostly solo / small grp).

++Xan

As you get higher, you can get fancier with what you equip, but for now, a nice 1H crushing which you switch out with a 1H slashing (to keep your skillups current) and the best buckler you can get - are definitely your friends.

GL little wolf cub on the pvp server!! Tear 'em up! If you are on Venekor, send me a PM. I have a 70 tailor and woodworker there, I can hook you up with stuphs.

Big, slow 2-handers are great fun for seeing four digit hits, but I personally prefer a 1h/shield setup.

In tiers 4-6, it's pretty easy to find fabled 2-handers.. fables 1h crushing weaps are also pretty common.... but it's [Removed for Content] near impossible to find a decent 1h slash. When leveling up, just use the best weapon you can get for a reasonable price.

Im a melee Warden with 8 points in the Natural Boon AA. This means that I have 32% chance to heal my team mates for 207hp each hit. Now if I use a fast attack weapon with 1.6 attack speed this helps alot. I never heal myself anymore 1 handed crush ftw!

Thats not too intuitive if you ask me Does attack speed mean anything for weapon procs??

Apparently the skill should read "procs natural boon 32% of the time per minute (regardless of weapon speed)"....??...?

But yes, the percent is only accurate if your weapon delay is 3.0 (or if your casting time + recovery time is 3.0, for spell procs.) "Attack speed is irrelevant to proc rate" is a bit misleading. Delay is irrelevant. Attack speed increasers (Haste)will increase your proc rate, since procs are always calculated from your base delay. If you're hasted up 20%, you get 20% more procs in the same amount of time (so that 6.4 procs per minute (32%) would become 7.68 procs per minute (38.4%) at 20% haste). You can use the /weaponstats command to see your current delay and figure your haste percentage from that, if you want to crunch the numbers.
