I remember when...

The only two safe places to go AFK were in your home city, or the Character Select screen. Oh three, take a dirt nap.

Evacing was a gamble. "Okay, there is three of them one of me, time to go!" <Escape> {load screen}::sigh:: "That was close, glad Evac was up, it just saved my...{Norrath returns to view} One, two, oh crp a full group. Run away!"

You have a great fight going, and then, more enemy show up to break up your fun. No problem, hop on the griffon. Momentary sigh of relief until you realize they are right behind you. :anic:: I hope I can que the next flight before they land!

I do miss the early days of pvp, but I do realize some of the changes made since launch were necessary, others though, I think have removed some of the fun factor of the game.

Permanent immunity after evac needs to go. If you want to be safe, log out, go to your home city, or die and sit at revive point. BTW, I am a scout and use evac when I can, but I would still like it changed back to the way it was. There is a time and place for the permanent immunity, after an evac isn't one of them. The ends of TS and Nek docks are though, otherwise you would never survive to get on the boat. Also, after your death, so you can rebuff and regroup. (Besides you died, we got what we wanted anyways, you earned your break.)

No zoning if engaged combat. I remember the frustration of people getting away after we (to include they) engaged in combat by running to a zone line. I also remember my own relief by using the same tactic, but I don't miss it, this is a good change. No zoning needs to stay, however in zone transports (i.e. griffons, carpets, clouds, and horses) need to be available, regardless of combat status, especially in KoS. I fear that even after the release of RoK, all the pvp action will still reside in KoS because of the safety factor cloud hopping provides.

Thoughts anyone? Were some of the old rules better? Do you think KoS is going to still be the hot spot for pvp after everyone levels up to 80, or is too early to speculate?
