I have been told that any weapon that delivers a proc/extra damage i.e. the thunder strike is worth it. I myself am using all gear that uses lambient rejuvenation, all gear, including the 1hs, and holy cow, all i ever see in the combat window is "your lambient juvenation has healed you for ... points" . But i need to upgrade i think, while i was taking whites at level 26, I am struggling whites at level 31. good luck and have fun!

Thunder strike will be good, get an adornment for it and it will be even better.

I'd go for berik, even though I hate the delay on it.  There is a system that basically makes lower level weapons less beneficial, in that the further your weapon is from the mob in levels, the worse the weapon is.  Sorta like your armor does as well.

You can't adorn a weapon that already has an effect on it if I'm correct.

I would lean towards the Berik sword also, but keep the spear too.  You want to keep your attack skills up and having a slasher and a piercer like that is good idea.  Now pick up a good crusher and make sure you those skills averaged out as you level...<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
