What the?... Name changed?

I've been away from this game for about a year. I log back in to notice my toon's name was changed from "Brad" to "Bradxx." What's the deal with that? Does SoE change the names of toons belonging to inactive accounts?

Server mergers.  The name created second got an extra X.

I dont think three servers ever merged into one... there was probabbly someone on the server with the name bradx already.

If I remember correctly, if you ended up with a name with an X at the end after the server merge, you could use /rename to change your name. I believe that is the command.

Soon...</blockquote>No.  Actually game population is going up thanks to the WoW exodus.  However, those signed on at this time may be lower as folks take a break before RoK.
