If you like 2handers, go ahead and use them. They get the job done and look cool doing it.

yea don't use a 2h period unless you have a really good fabled one and LOTS of + crushing skill. the only time a 2h is really good is if it has a 4 or 5 delay and a massive high end damage. tag this with a stack of melee crit and you are going to throw down some huge heavy hits. the only issue is, all your hits for the most part will be pretty heavy, so missing even once will net you some nasty loss if you miss even 2 swings in a fight out of 25. i personally like my current dual wields so much that in raid i use them over my 2h for crane flock because they just hit for so much and miss so little (yay dirge!)

Why the heck does everyone have to min/max the hell out of this game? It totally kills any variation when everyone is pushed to use the same things. 2hb isn't really all that bad, plus it looks cool. If you enjoy the style that should be more important than if you get a few less DPS in my opinion. Just a gripe of mine. But hey, if you're simply after the most DPS period, than yeah, 2hb probably isn't what you want.

sad but true, not enough valuable Bo's in EQ2.Pris mas with 1h/2h transform option such as Wurmslayer wouldn't hu rt either.not playing Kunark Beta but I don't expe ct a 2h as our Epic Weapon.for style I prefer a 2h over DW but since I'm a Raid Player there is not reallya option for the Bo's (at least I haven't fo und one yet and Kama / RG Combo isjust to good).

That i did. but i can surely survive if i only loose minor dps. the bigest problem is that its so few Bo staffs. i have one that are lvl 20, and the next one is lvl 32:/ so im afraid that i whil loose ALOT of dps when i get around lvl 26-30, if im stick whit my 2h. What AA should whould be good (since best is not a good word to use here) for a 2h brawler? heard that Int/wis is good for 2h, whil it also work good for 1h (if i find some fabel, or my 2h get to low), or should i go for a hybrid build like str / int or str / wis so i can use both 2h and unarmed. Anyone tested how mutch Dps loose if he go from 2x leg imb batons to a 2hb leg imb Bo staff?Edit: why int/wis over agi? (talking about AA here) :p

Agi/Wis might make for a good 2HB combo. You'd get some good hits from the Wis line and the improved casting from Agi would help compensate by improving your DPS from CAs. Also keep in mind that there are more than just the crafted weapons to choose from. Look on the broker for some treasured or legendary ones. There are also some quested ones. The Hiereophant's Crook HQ isn't too bad. I personally used a mix of dropped/bought 2hb and DW while I was leveling oh so long ago and did just fine doing it. And that was long before AA points. I didn't start to get crafted stuff until lvl 40. It was just too expensive. There's a lot of non-crafted gear out there that will do just fine. I wouldn't bother going with a hybrid route mixing fists with a weapon either. With the Str line it's all or nothing honestly. It really doesn't make too huge a difference either. Pick two lines you like and stick to them for a while. As long as you focus your points somewhat, you'll gain a benefit.

a 2 hander or two 1 handers? well, two 1 handers usually give you more stats + you get two procs and you can have two adornments... so, in my opinion, two 1 handers are the way to go....

kinda sucks that SOE made 2h look so cool, but is so much weaker :/

The reasoning is that you only have to spend the effort to get one weapon, so it shouldn't be as good... Pretty dumb if you ask me. I'd like to see damage rating and stats boosted a bit from what they currently are across the board. Or give 2hb an innate chance to riposte or something. They don't have to be equal to DW, just an equally alternative but different alternative.
MysticoN wrote:
kinda sucks that SOE made 2h look so cool, but is so much weaker :/
QFT. I put my bo on every once and a while and it looks awesome. She just started flailing the thing in a circle behind her and I was just like woah! It had nothing to do with the fight that was going on, which was odd...but it looked cool

I use the Vraksaken Claw Club on my raiding monk primarily with 136 haste and with procs upwards of 66dps mod solo. With group buffs I can crit upwards of 3-5k+ and double attacks if I'm lucky. The slowness of the weapon allows it to proc on almost every single hit and on average I'm procing crane twirl, debuffing, and DD/DoTing on every swing [or every other on low proc chance stuff]. Parses vary on RNG and grouping but I'm doing enough damage that I actually have to watch agro cause my detaunts <mongoose stance and evade check> have trouble keeping up, especially if I use Crane Flock.

2 hands best in all situations...maybe not

But Viable....you better believe it
