View Full Version : RoK AA increase and pvp AA cap don't add up

RoK release allows each AA tree to have 70 points spent... total 140AA between the two trees.

PVP server AA cap is 1.5Xlevel (1.5X80=120)

How are they going to allow us the other 20 AA points that the expansion allows when it doesn't compute with the AA maximum per level?

Good question. The PvP cap never made any sense anyway. Why can't a level 35 character have 65 aa if they earned it?

I wonder how the devs are going to answer this one. Maybe they'll raise the pvp aa cap just high enough to make room for the 20 aa we will loose.

I thought I saw a comment from one of the developers that the AA cap does not affect players at the level cap. I'll have to dig around and try to find it.

Maybe they should make the cap:

SpentAA = (Level X 2) - 20

This would also fix all of the t2 lockers since AA wasn't meant to be used until 20 anyways =P

Dhye

maybe AA should start at lvl60 !

ffs, imagine how miserable it would be to get 100 AA's in 10 levels, some of it just grinding The new requirement for high end guilds: level 70, with 30AA's =P
Alrighty I think I just confirmed that the AA cap will not affect lvl71-80 players since the cap was put in place mainly for low-level players and seeing as we can't earn more than 100 AA's now as it is (and lvl70 the cap would techincally be 105), there is no cap beyond lvl71.

I think they will incorporate a nerf to T2 is the new calculations. Total guess on my part, but here is what I think will come:

Cap = (Adv lvl - 9) x 2[lvl10=2, lvl11=4, lvl12=6... lvl79=140(cap)]

Thus a 14 twink will be capped at 10 AA, balancing PvP in T2.

If this calculation is correct, I think you pass the old AA cap curve once you surpass lvl 34. At that point, your AA cap will actually be higher than it was before.

What was indicated was that the current formula is figured with lvl70 being the highest level possible in the game. So players that move beyond lvl70 can't be impacted by the level cap because lvls71-80 aren't part of the original equations.

The cap only apply below 70. There is a requirement that you have to be 71 before you can spend over 100 achievements anyways. I doubt you guys are going to lock at 71 so the rule really isnt necessary for the 71-80 range.
