<p>Anyone <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.warcry.com/articles/view/previews/2543-EverQuest-II-Rise-of-Kunark-Preview" target="_blank">read this </a>yet? Most of it seems fine cept this bit.</p><p><i>"The Sarnak were an NPC race in the original EverQuest, but in the sequel these "dragon people" become fully playable.<b> They're a race created in ancient times by dragons as their servants.</b> They're bipedal and do not have wings, but most definitely can breathe fire. In between the two </i><i>games</i><i>, the Sarnak followed in the path of their creators and engineered what was to have been a servant race of magical warriors. This race - unaware of its true origins - is what players play, while the original creators are NPCs called the Sarnak'dizok. "</i></p><p>Look at the part I bolded. Now I never played EQ1 but I like to consider myself a lore sponge and I distinctly remember the original Sarnak being created by the Iksar by merging Iksar and Dragon. The rest of it I have no qualms with as we've already been told that the Sarnak we play are genetically engeneered by the original say but I say give the Iksar their due. Give them the credit they deserve for making the Sarnak race.</p>

More likely if im not mistaken the process of a creation wasMolded from the Clay of Cosgrove. Touch or Tainted by a blood of a god/deity then shipped off into the land of norrath. let alone the sleeper itself for approval.. So in this Case Sarnaks are Wurms NOT DRAGONS.. wurms/dragons may be the same thing but there different in there waysBut thats how i thought it was supposed to always be like

<p>A Behemoth? That'll be interesting to see in about 2 years after my future newbie Sarnak warden finally gets to 80. P</p><p>Edit: After digging a bit on google I found it was actually the Iksar Emporer Atrebe who made both the Sarnak and the Sokokar. Sarnak were made by squishing Iksar and Dragon and the Sokokar by Dragon and Froglok.</p>

the Iksar created the Sarnak, along with a least one other crossbreed. they made mounts out of froglok/dragon crossbreeds as well.

That article is confusing the Sarnak with the Droag.

Sarnak were created by Atrebe Sathir, along with the Sokokar. The Dragons did not create them. So the article is mistaken.

They were created as a direct result of a series of events that didn't start to happen until after the time split in EQlive's timeline.

Kunark is sounding and looking really lame at the moment.
