I have two PCs running and one of them crashes to toon select when I try to zone about 40% of the time and the other about 10%.  Any ideas?  If it was just the one PC I would think it was that, but - while it's the one more than the other - it's on both.-EDIT-Last time I tried to zone I got this on both PCs at the same time and now it's all that comes up when I try to log in on both machines.  Any ideas?<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/mentla/today.jpg" border="0" alt="" />

I'm having the same problem.  I was zoning with my Dirge and it dumped me to character select.  Now when I try to log on to him I get that same screen with the "Connecting to zone server" or occasionally I get a box that pops up saying the server did not respond in a timely manner and may be backlogged.  I can, however, log into my paladin just fine.  The paladin is in Greaterfay and the dirge is in Qeynos, so maybe its just a matter of them being on different servers?  (both are on Lucan DLere)

Same issue here.Level 8 Conjuror in Qeynos on Runnyeye server.Couldn't zone because game hanged on that same screen. The only time I successfully zoned was when I dismissed my pet, but, since I can't play a Conjuror with no pet out to help, I gave up and didn't log in anymore.I hope tomorrow things will be better.Have a nice evening.S.

The only time I've ever run into this is while running PeerGuardian.  Each zone in EverQuest II has a different IP with only a few sharing.  PeerGuardian blocks these IPs.  If you are running PeerGuardian you may want to turn it off while playing the game.
