*writes in his journal*Upon entering the Shard of Fear, I felt the excitement and adrenaline rush that I imagine our previous generation felt. The rush of a new promise, the danger that they could not see.But after disturbing a Shard of the Plane of Fear, I could only think of how wrong this whole endeavor was. Yotoden lead us in there, with Norin taking the blows. One was of mankind, the latter an ancestor, a Northerner. Both human. Was it not the relentless ambition of their races that angered the gods and caused them to abandon us, to invade and destroy Luclin? To tear Norrath asunder with Cataclysms? Was it not our collective, naked, and unadulterated ambition that demonstrated our disrespect to those who created us?I wonder ... are we not headed down the same path as our forefathers? Will we not find ruin upon this road? Are we destined to repeat our mistakes and cause another wave of travesties to stab our world's heart once more?

And just like that, this gets moved to the RP section of the boards

There is a small difference, I think. It's not the plane as seen in past. It's a shard - a part of original that had been broken or divided sometimes in last couple of centuries.

In this shard, Cazic-Thule's presence is, well, absent. He is not to be found anywhere in the shard - as if a piece of him has been lost and now found by the mortals.

That'll clue me in then.

So ... physical presence, no. Consciousness, yes. (Unless it's not Cazic.)

I did hear "Cazic Thule" in the speech of the Narrator somewhere, but still got the distinct impression Thule was talking. It's not really beyond gods to refer to themselves in the third person.
