<p>Since the new <a rel="nofollow" href="http://launcher.station.sony.com/" target="_blank">launcher</a> will give info on who's online. I assume you'll be able to hide yourself or go anonymous like you can in game. If you can't, that needs to be emailed to the programmers and built into the application on the next patch for the launcher's release.

Yes you can. That stops your own friends from knowing you are online as well. Plus you do not even have to download it for other players to use the Beta version to check on your status now.

Does it really matter? All it takes to see who is online in any faction is to make an alt, add them to friends, log to it and check.Honestly I think it was an issue in the past but now? Why waste two mins or more by logging into your opposing faction character?

I honestly don't think it does, nor do I think enough people will make use of the feature for it to have any kind of detrimental impact on the game.</p><p>So again, in my opinion, not a big deal.</p>
