Going to be a while before I get log in tonight but with another 3 hour downtime today I would expect something got changed. Nothing in the update notes though.Hints? Comments? Outright devulgence of information? Many thanks

An expansion is coming out in less than a month, I would put money on the downtime having something to do with that.

I hate it that Sony doesn't bother to tell us what the downtimes are for any more. It doesn't need to be a lot of detail, even just a 'fixed an issue with tradeskills' for example would be fine. Stop treating us like we're either too dumb to understand or it's too dangerous to admit there's been a problem.

Nothing outwardly cosmetic changed in today's hotfix, hence there being no input to give on it. Sorry for any possible confusion and issue! Now for your regularly scheduled playtime...

~Gnobrin!

The servers could be brought down for any number of reasons including the new expansion coming out like the post above said. More then likely its a data structure change such as adding tables/modifying the underlying database for the expansion or the new station communications. If it was a fix or performance improvement, they'd be eager to tout it.Just because the servers are coming down without a specific communication as to why doesn't mean they're hosing us.

I'll put money on the patch involving nerfing the droprates in the Shard of Fear. They like to do that within a week of patching any new zone in.

But that aside, this post was regarding the downtime 4 days ago, not today.

Look at the news...there are horrendous fires in San Diego County.
