Have to say i'm very dissapointed and angry with the update to the status items. Now instead of being able to grab what I need for my guild the prices have doubled if not trippled on my server. With the update I can barely grab any status items. If the guild level was increased I wish it was by 10 instead of 5. Increasing the guild amount by 10 would have allowed my guilds T6 folks to contribute if they don't want to do quests. Now we are stuck since we are level 59.

Another fact that is aggrivating is the staggering amount of plat sellers/farmers that are pooling these items. While I was shopping before the update I've seen atleast 3 unpronounceable names selling 200+ status items. Went on EQ2 players and checked their stats with some of them reaching level 70 in about 1 to 1 1/2 months.

I would have to say if people are worried about guilds selling truck loads of items like they have done in the past just disable the items when the expansion comes out. Or just put in a limiter saying you can only sell so many and when that limiter is reached it no longer contributes to guild status. This would last for 4-5 days then more could be sold making things progress more naturally.

So punish the squirrel who stores nuts fo rthe winter. Just because soem guilds have stock piled the status items and are already guild level 60..... been almost a year since the cap was raised from 50-60, you want to nerf the amount of status available from item sells. OMG I guess we shoudl punish every oen who actually saves money in real life as well, what you have a 401Kpfft not on my watch you will get paid the whole of it in small increments over the next 75 years, I dont care if you saved up enough to absorb all of the penalties and retire when you are 50.

There are a ton of other ways to get status for your guild: HQs, writs, and raids all give status, with raids being the easiest one that gives you status, but requireing the greatest effort to accomplish aka get 18-24 people all at the same place at the same time with 2+hours of time to dedicate in one sitting.

You're mad that you can't buy status items cheap enough to help level your guild????? That strikes me as odd.

I actually like the fact that the guild level that status items affect went up 5 levels. Now we have it equal to the middle of the tier they drop from ( T7 stuff affecting >65, T8 stuff helping >75, T9 stuff helping >85). With their previous system you would have needed mobs of lvl 81+ to drop status items to contribute to gilds higher than lvl 70 (the lvl 70-79 mobs dropped items that would contribute to guilds that were lower than lvl 70).

Doing this does give the guilds that want to power level their guild one more tier to chose from to gain the first 5 guild levels, but these people that were going to spend plat to turn in status items were going to do it with the T8 stuff anyway.

Am I aggravated that I already turned in all my previous T7 stuff on a alt that is in an ‘alt guild' sort of, but that lower level alt got all the personal status for it, so it's not that big of a deal to me. Maybe this set up was the initial plan from the beginning but SOE decided that they would put a lower level restriction in first to get a lot of the ‘horded' status items out of banks and sold so that leveling the guilds would be a tad bit slower - I know evil conspiracy theory, but its Friday and I'm bored at work.
