View Full Version : Character Transfer Service Problem

Some friends of mine have tried to transfer characters either to another account, and/or to a different server.  There is a problem where when completing the fiorms, there is a notice stating that the character's name has already been taken, and to choose another name.  This occurs when there is no other character with that name on the other server.  Is there any ETA on when this problem will be fixed?Thanks in advance!

I have had this problem also, even created a new toon on the destination server with the name i wanted just to be sure, then deleted him and tried again, but nothing. Would really appreciate this getting fixed. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/1cfd6e2a9a2c0cf8e74b49b35e2e46c7.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

<p>This actually started with yesterday patch. I was hoping that the one this morning was to fix it but guess not.</p><p>I did fill out a support email yesterday that's still has not been answered yet.</p><p>I would be nice to know if this is being looked into.</p>

I had exact same problem, tested it out with multiple chars. No characters with same name on destination server, and all teh gameside criteria for char moves met.

<p>Character Transfer is still broken. This started happening after the patch on 10/16.</p><p>Is anyone even taking a look at this?</p>

<p>I did fill out a support email on the 16 and guess what no one has even looked at it yet.</p><p>That's why I posted it here since it looks like no one ha acknowledges that there a problem with the Character Transfer.</p><p>I just like the others that have posted here just wanted to know what the status of this is and when it's going to be fix.</p>

<p>My problem with the character transfer system is different, Im trying to xfer my warden from najena to runnyeye......BUT there is no runnyeye on the server select screen..</p><p>Also still waiting on a ticket i submitted 2 days ago</p>

<p>I spoke with a phone support rep on Friday. He said they'd gotten a lot of calls about this and expected the transfer service to be fixed on Monday the 22nd.</p><p>Apparently, the phone support people don't talk to the chat or e-mail support people. I originally tried chat support and they had no clue about the naming error problem.</p>
