Two pieces I saw yesterday from guildies that did SOF.

One robe when equipped drops subjigation, and all your casting skills down 20 points but gives you 10% faster recast.

One Fabled neck piece does something like 5% damage to caster for every CA used and increases damage of that CA by 10%.

I wonder if this is a sign of things to come where if you want good proc's you will have to take a hit some other way. I guess I would just rather have more creative proc's.

You realize that these bonuses are well worth the penalties being charged?-20 to casting skills for anyone with those skills already buffed is squat against 10% faster casting. And the 5% damage per skill use... 10% for a wizard's SMALLEST spell is like wearing something with Spell Damage 250. For Ice nova, the damage increase is a MINIMUM of 500 damage. This 10% bonus is not on a duration either, it's +10% to EVERYTHING you cast. That should come with a sickening penalty. 5% means you find a healer devoted to you, find a way to heal yourself, or moderate your casting speed. personally I like the idea of high power / high penalty items.... but i suppose by "creative" you just want things that make you better while mashing your buttons?

As an aside, there are some items that need some attention...For example the Voulge that allows you to stun any heroic mob perpetually. So perhaps these will get looked at, but I say again.... power should come with a price. Shard of Fear offers a number of awesome power high "cost" items.

The item dev has already posted about the 2h that can perma stun on eq2flames. Has said it is a bug where he had turned up the proc chance to test the proc to make sure it was working and over looked turning it back down to its normal percent/times a minute proc chance.

I haven't been able to get in game, so is the robe 10% faster recast or faster casting(ie spell haste)?

And what classes can wear the robe?

/pray priest/mage item. Maybe Crusader too....

I haven't seen teh robe yet, so I'm not sure. I don't think Rorion was complaining about having to give up stats or that the stats weren't worth it. I think his point was that the you have to give up one thing in order to get something else. This is a common choice in most other MMOs I've played where you had to make a choice between resists or stats, damage procs or plus damage, etc.

I would be very curious if SOE intends to make this a continuing trend in the future. Give up one thing to get something else.

That 2 hander that lets you stun mobs is way OP... someone i know was soloing unrest with it(the mobs at start but he gave up due to the time it took but you could do it with just 3 dps or something )

The choker is borky atm. The damage is not prevented by wards, it does 5% health to you for every target you AOE, it does damage to equip, it kills you when you revive, it does not consistently damage you on item usage (spiritise censor hits you twice, thermal shocker once).

Furthermore the spell increase is borked just like Vine-wrapped boots, so you only net about 3% increase. It does give a full 10% boost to CAs which might make it useful for some melee classes.

As is, it is pretty worthless.

Here's a pic of the choker :Now from what i found out, it deals MAGIC damage, so it checks with your saves (at 4k magic it dealt roughly 600-800 damage on equip while at 12k magic resist, it dealt 180-450 damage)Looks the value of SoD Soulfire Staff and Fitzpitzle Protector went up (both proc heals) and that the Gown of Glory / GoG 2.0 from TTR Mayong went WAY upOn a side note, for wizards, Greater shielding and Ward of Sages were soaking in the equip/unequip/equip/unequip costs (The Choker humgers for blood = 10%HP hit on equip / NO damage on unequip (can chain equip and probably suicide too ;p)The big ward that kicks in at 30%HP or lower prevented ALL damage from equip costs when testing, guess its a safety zone (see the popsicles effect, unequip asap !)Sidenote, it's 5% of MAX health and not 5% of whatever HP you have at cast time so dont plan on the damage to slow down the lower hp you get...As to it being bugged and not dealing +10% when i equipped it all my base + max damage on spells adjusted accordingly, will have to do some nuking tests to see if it really works
Does the 5% hp drain trigger on each Rampaging Blow?

I'm a wizard, don't know what's rampaging blow, i gather it's a Berzerker AoEI think it actually procs 5% damage on all dots or aoe's (didn't test it myself as it was WAY late yesterday) but that's what has been reported by other players.
