THese wepeons are very nice but need a change. If you look at the pierce it is usable by all melee types. IF you look at the hammer it is fighter preist only. Makes no sence since only guardians and zerker's will ever get the 2 piece effect from these items.

Also, the effect on Shock says it will proc on "any attack" however it does not proc on ranged (like buckler of howler, maestro's, etc). It needs to either be fixed, or the description needs to be corrected.

Ranged attacks cannot trigger mainhand procs, this has been in effect for a while now and is the reason (most) Rangers no longer use Qeynos Kilij or Iceforged Sais.

As your quiver is not full of Shock "Arrows" you are not attacking with Shock.

I think it makes sense.

You are right, the claymore no longer procs off ranged, but you are incorrect that rangers no longer use them (I can link you profiles of raiding rangers who hold it for stats still - not everyone has maestros).

The point of my comment was that the description conflicts with the GU notes from Devs, and while that may be expected from items that existed before GU update, new zones with new loot tables should not carry forward this really confusing naming convention and should clearly state what the weapon actually does so ranged melee doesn't waste DKP or loot items that could be better put to use by pure melee. Do you disagree with that?

No. They don't need to give scouts blunt weapons. I'm going to be very angry if they give scouts blunt weapons.

Then make it a non-blunt weapon. The thing has a stacking bonus..only useful if you have both..so why make one of the classes that can use it, (healers) someone who can never benefit from the bonus?

I think one thing people have missed is this - Shock is NOT tagged LORE. So, what happens when you manage to get 2 Shocks? Does the set effect still activate? Hmm...

I had both items drop last night. It is an interesting set. I don't know that it needs to be changed. There are enough melee weapon choices out there that this just provides an interesting option for some toons. As a ranger I can only use one. Now add in a bow to this line, and I would be all over it.
