As I've leveled up to 20, I am noticing more problems with running out of power quickly. Is this an issue for SK's all the way to 70 until you start getting great int gear? Is power management something all classes have to work with, or is it something SKs seem to have more issues with than others?I am completely new to this game, so affording expensive drinks is not an option for me. Is it really just a matter of being able to buy level 70 drinks? I wouldn't know where to buy them, except for the auction NPC where everything is too overpriced for a new player.

Well, one part of your question deals with combat drinks. As far as I know, there are no craftable in-combat power regen drinks. So its only a matter of waiting till your power goes up.You should be able to find affordable drinks for your tier (they all scale). You might wanna just make your own, that is the one thing you will spend money on no matter what class you play. Also, you can get Totems which are only like 30 minutes or so but stack with the drink. So your down time will be much less after you exit combat. In combat, you only have the option of Flowing Thought. I think you get a choice at some level to get +5 in combat power regen or +5 health regen...I forget what I took. As you level up you may get some Flowing Thought items via loot or crafted cloaks...they all help, but you will still have power issues. You also get Mana Tap which can crit at times (lev 55 maybe?) and a Manastone Item as a HQ which I still use at level 70 every chance I get.Tanks are supposed to have power issues, that way groups have to work to find the best way to combat encounters.I think the best way to counter those power issues is make your fights shorter, meaning better gear and better quality spells. And I think INT is part of spell damage. Power might be from STR as well and I think Wisdom is the stat used in calculating your power regen. But like I said, as a Tank you are always going to run into power problems especially if you group. That is the way it is supposed to be.

We always have been power [Removed for Content]. Your best bet is to up your STR/INT for a higher power pool or get an Illusionist in group.

Dont know why they didnt mention it, but you can get some sweet power tap adorns. One for your ranged slot and weapon, I dont know i think even a FT one but I havent gotten that far yet, anyways i LOVE my power tap adornments they help TONS. Look up phantom and it should pull up some at the broker. Also there's a player made cloak with power regeneration.

So just look at the broker for cheap level 30 drinks with a long duration.

Uusing good Provisioner-made drinks is essential .. as SK you can however be cheap with food since with our lifetaps we mostly don't have to regenerate much life after a fight.

Certainly having the best drink available at your level will beef up power for out of combat regeneration. However, I am surprised that no one mentioned totems. Totems are made by woodworkers. They are, in my opinion, mandatory for the soloing fighter. For example, the totem of the otter, will give you 15 minutes of underwater breathing. The Spirit of the Viper will give you about 28 power regen per tick and is available at your level. My favorite, which isn't available to you at level 20, is the totem of the Jaguar, which gives both invisibility and stealth for 15 minutes. Thus, you get the same skill as a ranger and can explore a number of areas without detection and get that location AA experience that you will need. At upper levels, you get better totems than I mentioned. Even better, Totems are very inexpensive. At your level, you would spend about 10silver and get 5 totems for each purchase.

There are other cool totems too that give hp regen, see invisibile etc. Essentially, all of those special spells that necros and other mages get, can be used by fighters with totems.

Take my word for it, get and use totems, Have a full bag of them. I have extra power regen totems that I give to my healers in groups. Folks LOVE me for it.

Sirmorte, level 53 SK, level 51 Woodworker

Permafrost Server

House of Rising Phoenix Guild

I deal with the power issues by having power drain adorns, as many mana clickies as I can and chain pulling stuff so the rest of the gorup doesnt get their breathers. that way, I can keep most of the group at about 50% power.
