I am looking for a broken-down comparison of the two.  I am interested in DPS, armor/mitigation, HPs, evasion, playstyle differences, and AA's.I am currently leveling a Shadowknight and I don't like my excessive power consumption per fight, so I want to try something else.  Melee classes interest me the most.  I've read that Brawlers are pretty low in demand.  Full-out tanks are not really needed in raids, except for two to three.  That leaves me with hybrid (SK/paladin) or full melee DPS (scout). From what I can tell just by looking at Allakhazam, the Rogue and Predator look very similar.  The Predator seems to get a few more ranged options than the Rogue, which isn't a big loss for me since I am mostly interested in melee DPS.Do they both wear chain armor?Do they both do about the same DPS?Do they have the same amount of HPs, approximately? Is there a website I can use to look at the AA differences between the two?

1. Yes Both Wear Chain2. If you look at it from a outside point of view noPredators are Tier 1 DPSRogues are Tier 2It depends on the player but for sake of argumentEven skilled, geared Rogue Vs Predator then the Pred will usually come out on top however the rogue has more stuns and is better at taking Damage3. HP's are the Same Roughly yes Rogues probally have a little more4. Go to google and type in the search EQ2Ref its pretty spot on about AA's

Therefore, what follows is my opinion from that perspective. You seem to be a grouper/raider but this may also apply to some extent. As a solo player, I've decided to stay with my Swashy. YMMVThe main difference in play style between the Rogue class and the Pred class is in the postional attacks. Both the Rogue and the Pred require getting into position for most of their attacking but the Preds also require many of those attacks to be stealth'ed as well. This can make a big difference when you solo multiple MOB's because the moves that put the Preds in stealth gets broken by an add most of the time. IMO, this is the one single point that makes Rogues solo better than Preds. Of course the Ranger does most of thier damage at range but once melee is engaged, they are like the other Preds in needing both stealth AND position.I don't raid so someone will have to step up to the plate on that one but raid DPS is almost always dependent on the group loadout and what buffs they can bring to the table as well as gear + player skill. Rogues seem to get a few more debuffs than the Preds and once again this is supposed to be because of the extra damage potential of the Pred class.I would play an Assassin and a Swashy to see the differences, to about level 20 or so. This should give you an idea of whats going on. Getting into position for an attack is easy once you get used to it but it may take a level or two to get the timing down.Hope this helps!

A rogue specced for balance/versatility/general raid function is mid to high tier 2. A rogue can spec for pure dps, however, and lose some versatility and raid function and peak into tier 1, but of course, the sacrifice is as I said - a loss of versatility. Predators default to tier 1 dps.</b>Do they have the same amount of HPs, approximately?<b>This kinda varies from player to player. For the most part, rogues seem to tend to have more. Regardless, overall, rogues take hits better.</b>Is there a website I can use to look at the AA differences between the two?<b>Class boards here on the EQII Forums <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></b></p></blockquote>
