Yeah there is a post around here that shows the stats.

Roughly double the health, +40% dps for Dogdog. Not much but at least it is working as intended now.

Yeah, the dog has way more hps which is nice. He hits a bit harder and more often as well so thats a bonus. He doesn't have the mitigation to last to long as a tank though which I think is intentional. On a green mob he takes off maybe a 1/3 to 1/2 of the mobs hps before he dies (have str line so depends on his ward procs etc.)I was dinking around in Cazels Mesa and the dog ate a riposte for 1k+ damage from a green +++ and it didn't die! Before the patch that would have been one dead doggy for sure.

It is an improvement but we waited 2 months for this without an explaination or apology from when it was originally announced. Also the dev may have been talking about 100% hp increase in the forums but the info box says 20% increase in hp and dps.It is better than nothing but I am not excited.Personally I think it deserves a slow hand clap.

After playing around with the new dogdog I have found him to be much improved.

Now, if I pull a single mob while soloing with a debuff and let dogdog grab agro I have time to get off a ward or another debuff or any other 'set up' spell that I wnat before I take agro back and get into the fight. I particularly like pulling with debuff, letting dogdog take agro then hitting Bolster on myself. The extra couple fo seconds I get out of bolster that I would normally lose in pull time isnt much but it helps.

I still would like to see the AA line for dogdog adjusted so that he can tank a bit better, but this is a nice improvement and a step in the right direction.

well this is good news. now i can actually use that thing as a tank, since i ALWAYS pick my single target ward as master 2 choice when available. he now has enough hp that all i have to do is refresh the ward if it falls and he takes a hit or 3, and then i can hit him with about 1-2 heals and he is at max hp again. this is awesome news.

Theres no way dogdog would tank anything for you for more than 5 seconds, maybe with enough warding can keep something occupied, but at that point just tank the stuff yourself with your better mitigation, the wards last even longer. The dog doesn't do enough damage that he could keep agro off you if you're doing anything but healing, esp since you'd be combat spec'd (as you have to be to take advantage of this boost).

dogdog works much better now. He is no tank, but he is an effective pulling machine now. prior to GU39, I would try and use dogdog to pull the wandering genies in Poet's, but usually he'd be dead before returning, even with group ward & buffing. Now, he actually can take a couple of hits and still survive! I'm digging dogdog! Now I wish we had the swarm dogdog like in EQ1! /dream off
