The game (at least at present) does not permit the worship of Erollisi Marr. This being the case would it be possible for a Paladin to serve "the twins"? They are clearly related closely, and I was curious as to whether one could jusitfy, using the lore of Norrath, the use of the Prophet of Mithaniel Marr for the worship of both brothers using the twins or gemini concept? Talk amongst yourselves .

That said, I think it would be fine from an RP view to actually choose Mith as your deity, but claim to serve both until/if Erollisi is added back into the game.

That never stopped the Knights of Marr in the past.

From a lore standpoint, worshipping multiple deities would not only make sense, it would be common place. If you look at pantheistic societies around the globe, you see people offering sacrifices and praying to several deities, since it is more than one diety that affects their life. I've covered this elsewhere (perhaps the pantheon thread?), and given the example of a farmer praying to Karana for rain, Solusek Ro for sun, Tunare for growth, and possibly even the Rathe for good earth.

In other words, to me it makes perfect sense if you want your character to worship both of the Marr Twins. In fact, I know several people who RP worship of several gods.

Yep, what they said.

I know many people who RP that they worship either Erollisi or both the Marr twins. One was a big Halasian woman and a paladin of Erollisi and quite a hoot to RP with. I have another friend, a templar, who follows both the teachings of Quellious and Erollisi, to add further support to the multiple gods approach. Even in ancient times in the real world, many people followed the ways and teachings of multiple gods rather than wholly devoting themselves to one and only one.

Even official lore stories have had characters asking for a blessing from more than one god... not at the same time of course.

Both their teachings have a high influence in her life, so it only makes sense for her to do so.Now, from a game point she can only officially worship one or the other (she went with Quellious, since I already went through the Tunare quest line twice), but nobody really has to know that. My paladin is devoted to Prexus, even though he has also not made his return. She knows he will be back, and is waiting for him.

I hope they do add Erollisi, it would be a shame not to.

The Che Virtuson, the Hand of Marr, The Order of Marr's Fist, The Sisters of Erollisi Marr. the Knights of Truth, The Paladins of Marr, the Order of Marr....

Since the beginning, the Cerics of Erollisi Marr, and the Paladins of Mithaniel Marr, have been inseparatable; two halves of a whole. They have existed at times as separate Orders, and at other times as a combined Order, but they are, (like their patrons), linked beyond the ordinary.

Erollisi will be seen again, but the worship, (through the Prophet of Mithaniel Marr), of one is virtually the same as the worship of both.

In the first years to cown the Monument Age, the fortress of Ardathium was erected in the Southernmost fields outside the Elddar Forest. Established by the Half-Elven Paladin, Countess Vianny, Ardathium would be the first of the great monuments established in the name of Mithaniel Marr throughout all of Norrathian history. Dedicated soley to the crusades of the Truthbringer, in the name of Valor, Honor, and Truth, Ardathium was one of Norrath's most beautiful, though tragically short-lived, treasures.

Constructed of pure alabaster stone and crowned in statues and tower caps of shining gold, Ardathium was a sight to behold. It's white and blue banners rose high toward the heavens and the brilliant glinting of sunlight off of it's towers golden caps could be seen for miles above the lush green canopy of the Elddar Forest to the north.

The Che Virtuson were established shortly thereafter--an elite force of zealous knights and priests dedicated to the Truthbringer and His divine word.

What an obscure reference, but that's cool to know there was yet another order of knights out there.
