View Full Version : At what point is additional INT not worth it?

I'm currently a level 34 Erudite SK with roughly the following self buffed stats(in offensive stance):

INT 190

STR 90

STA 120

I solo 90% of the time with a two hander(SBH) instead of a shield. I've chosen most of my gear with a biased towards intelligence. I'm 4-4-8 int with all other points in Reaver. Is my int beyond the "soft cap" for my level?

At level 70, you want to stop concentrating on INT at 550 and start working on STR/STA. Atm I sit on
579 STR 683 INT 511 STA in Offensive Stance.

INT and STA are both well over 500.

Yet it's nigh impossible to find a great mix of gear for Uros to get his stats high. *le sigh* I suppose it could be worse. Atelos's strength shows as 493. It's quite a bit higher than that.

It also doesn't show adornments or pet buffs. I know my main stats on the board are all about 80-100 points under...and HP are several hundred under.

Adornments are shown, i have at least 6 str on my Breastplate, and EQ2players shows exactly the 323 str i had ingame when i checked it yesterday. I had however no food in use, so there are 14 points and Godpet maybe some str depending on your God.

If i look at my ranger, who has also 2 +14 STR adornments, the total STR also looks ok for me (-food)

Life / Sta is a lot more that isn't shown, because its at least 56-57 from unhallowed Strength + 28 from food and drinks.

I'll have to try equiping gear without adorns and check. Adornments do not show up on your profile, that's for sure though. Check any piece of gear in the eq2players gear slots. Never checked what was counted and not really.....wonder if the Miti ones are counted.

I know when I camped with what I was wearing yesterday, I had 688 STA solo for example, and it has me at 599 on the profile. My HP were 9384 solo with non HP gear...and the profile has me at 9120. I can't remember the other stats I camped with though. My mititgation is listed at 58% on the eq2players profile, but I think it's over 61% solo if I remember right. I know raid buffed I'm around 67 or 68%.

EQ2Players only updates gear about once a week and stats about twice a day. Not to mention it doesn't factor in adornments, food etc. I couldn't get in game anyway, so those numbers were copied and pasted from a similar thread I posted on on flames back when I was trying to see how high I could get my power. In general though, my STR is only about 10-20 lower than 579 anyway, so EQ2players is still borked, nevertheless.

Adornments do not show up on your profile gear slots, period. If they are counted is a different matter. I'm missing 89 STA from my profile from yesterday. I'm not really sure what I camped with the day before yesterday (and the profiles are 28 hours + behind, according to the site at the moment). I'd have to keep track for a few days lol.

Anyway, it comes close to the STA I logged with last night around 11:30 pm est.

Possible cause of discrepancy....

22 STA from food (it's 11 for Screewoggin's and 11 for Bosprite wine)

11 from Brell Pet

So that means Unhallowed STA is ~56 at M1 ? (since the pet and food has some decimal additions as well.....the pet is 11.1 or some such)

So that would come out about right. The adornments for STR appear to be counted for mine at the moment, providing I camped with the same gear on as 2 days ago (could be). The Health difference is 264 HP under. 90 STA giving 264 HP...most likely close, given that it's well into dim returns.

It does seem to be really off at times though, and I've heard that complaint from many.

I have only done deity quests on my lvl 70s, so I've always had the max "scale" (as it works).

I wonder why they chop numbers though. They should just round to the nearest whole number if anything.
