Could someone please explain why the numbers on these two "examine" windows are not the same?

PvP tag it ticked on the adornment and not on the weapon

Before you adorn it it does not take into consideration your stats, afterwards, it does take into consideration your skills.

The numbers did not change at all when I did that. (I just left one on when taking the picture on accident.)

And besides... wouldn't the numbers with the pvp button pushed be lower than the non-pvp one if it made a difference?

Melee-damage procs are altered by strength. Magic-damage procs are altered by intelligence.

What stat would modify the power drain or the life tap associated with the phantom and vamparic adornments? I know as a scout that my Int affects the amount that my poisons with these same effects have on mobs. So as a Zerker if I wanted to use either of the adornments and get the most out of them I would need to raise my Int to get higher results?????

Does the same hold true for the other adornments that end up procing some kind of heat, magic or divine damage?

If this is the case I'd be curious as to how high I would have to have stat A to get the ‘base value' that the adornment displays when examined i.e. will I get the listed damage range if Stat A is = 100 or does Stat A have to be 400?

Yes, all adornment procs are "spells" (even things like the Spiked shoulder and shield adorns that do (non-magical) piercing damage...) so they're all affected by INT, and by spell critical rate, and they can be outright resisted. <3 70% spell crits on a crusader with spikey adornments. I don't get how you made a Phantom adornment read 96/89, though. INT only affects the power drain; the power returned to you is always exactly 100, and at zero INT, the power drained from the mob would still be 100. (So, the adornment should read anywhere from 100 to 200 points drained depending on INT and such, and always exactly 100 returned.) So in that pic, you're either (1) mentored, (2) debuffed with a debuff I've never seen before, (3) looking at some PvP weirdness (I don't PvP), or (4) looking at a display bug. If the adornment really procs 96/89 in combat, and you're not mentored or strangely debuffed, then you've found a serious bug.

I don't think int, str, or any stats, effect the amount of power taps. On my Illusionist they definitely don't - my Inquisitor alt on a PvE server has the t4 version of the phantom proc for 2hers, I could not get the amount to go up or down regardless of what I did stat-wise.

Possibly a bug with plus to spell damage items? Only thing I can think of, but again on my Illusionists her power drains have NEVER changed from a piece of equipment.
