Water effects on character select screen causing crash

If I leave my game on the character select screen, it crashes after about 5 minutes, on my 8800GTX 2GB ram E6700 chip box.I was wondering if this was because of the water effects as I can mitigate this problem on lower detail levels?Anyone else having this issue?

I have the same problem to, some of it has to do with my video card getting hot, the longer i platy the worse it got, so I put a bigger fan blowing on my video card, and it seams to help, also to avod that screen, instead of camping to char select, i type /camp and hit enter, and it will switch toons without going to that screen. hope this helps you some <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

correction on my prior statement, you have to type it like this /camplastat350, or what ever your toons name is, typ it after camp
