There's lots of tricks. The most important is to make sure your skill is not way (like 5 or more levels) behind your cap, which makes getting Pristine difficult. Here's a guide: Not a Moment to Lose! A Guide for Power-Mad Speed-CraftersHere's another: Tradeskill Writ GuideLet's see... - Know your recipe book. set up filters for the Tier you're working in and know how to use that search function to find recipes fast. - Writs will use the same recipes over and over. When you know which ones, drag them to a hotbar.- Don't bother accepting the monetary compensation until you've started the next recipe.- Know your favorite Arts combinations for maximum results. For example, when countering an event the results for the round are set to -10 +50, so if you want big progress results hit three progress arts. Remember that using all durability arts will slow you way down.Edit: You might try practicing your technique on the Work Orders, see how fast you can get them done without a timer ticking, then move to Rush Orders when you're got your speed up.

Actually, I find my carptenter to be the fastest at rush orders. I can often finish them them with 4:20-4:25 remaining. Carpenters have the arts that do the most progress and by FAR the MOST durability. I just use all three progress arts each round (properly adjusting for whichever reactions pop up), and only use durability arts if durability gets too low. My other crafters usually finish around 2:30-3:00 remaining. Hell, I think my carpenter would maaaaaaybe be able to do two rush orders in the span of time allotted for one, if I could get two to work on simultaneously

Of course, I don't have a carpenter.

I finish easily with over 3 minutes to spare on my Woodworker - my best was a 4+ minutes remaining, but I got one of those nice buffs that's an instant-completion (Flawless Cuts?). I usually get between 2-4 minutes on my Alchemist and Sage as well. I follow a simple system:

Set-up a hotbar with my tradeskill buffs. In keys 1, 2, and 3 I have my 3 Progress buffs (usually the best available, but I make my decision based on what has the best risk/power:reward ratio). In keys 4, 5, and 6 I have my 3 Durability buffs.

Set-up a macro I use on nearly every round. First I use the tradeskill buff that gives +Progress/-Durability, and then the +Durability/-Success % chance.

As noted, I just tap this macro when my buffs are ready almost every round. I'll throw in either the +Progress for power or +Durability for power buff every now and then as well.

If a reaction event comes up, note you get a guaranteed success round - so I spam all three of a particular buff (either Progress or Durability) for a big boost to whatever I need most (usually Progress).

Other tips:

Keep your lowest Power cost buff in another key on your hotbar - if you get really low on power, you want to have something available to counter a reaction event.

Use the best drink available to you.

Use Woodworker crafted power-regen totems (Spirit of the X) - http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/a...tr=040000000000 (Hey, I have to boost sales

Cancel all of your adventure buffs - some people suggest "craftin nekkid" but I've never had an issue in my normal gear (although I'm sure it would be helpful, it just takes me extra time I don't want to waste), but cancelling buffs seems to make a big difference. Why? Your tradeskill buffs that cost power have a power cost determined by your maximum power pool. Lower that amount, and while the buffs still cost X% of your power, you will regenerate more each tick from your power regen items as noted above.

That's about all I can think of right now

I use low level gear or the highest lvl i can w/o any power or power enchancing stats (easy for my priest ... find some good STR gear - my carp loves it lol ... strong boxes). The task was a bit harder for my bruiser, but she's a tailor so she's not carrying around 1k-lb of boxes anyway and she lives in Neriak so its not like she has to walk too far from the stations to the bank, which is very good.

But the reason I use a crafting set is ... well, one, Im hoping that they will eventually bring in TS gear to the game; secondly, I like the idea of having a different appearance for in town domestics and out of town fighting. I know that the appearance tab offers that now, but I started doing this way before the appearance tab. Now Im just in the habit of it and it really does help to craft naked. The power using counters use a percentage of your current power pool rather than a set amount where your drink/totem regenerate at the same amount no matter what. If you have drink/totem that regens at 10 points per tick and a power pool of 1000 w/stat gear or 100 w/nakid, which will fill up fastest? When I actually remember to grab my totems and drink before heading to craft ... I can cast a power counter almost every tick and not have to worry about power.

Just like condar said

I would add: wear the best craft bonus charm slot equipment you can for your level. Those are tinkered equipement, ask/look around for the names and level of those fitting for you class. Those are cumulative so as your craft level increase, you'll be able to get 1% bonus then a total of 3% then much later on a total of 5%.

Also, if you intend to create a new crafter, you might choose your race accordingly: each race has 2 racial options that boost a specific tradeskill by +5.

The easiest to be able to cast the power costing buff on nearly every round is to keep your adventure level to a whooping level 2 or 3. Short of doing that ( i sure don't: i like to adventure too), take benefits of what you can: dirge regen buff, necro lich spell,...
