View Full Version : Best class to duo with?
Ok so a friend of mine is making a Necro and when he hits the max level, we want to be able to duo named mobs in dungeons together. Which class do you think would go best? I was thinking coercer, but that might not be reliable enough since SOE wont leave charm alone. Anyway, heres what I have available/will consider playing. What I have:SK: Don't see how good of a duo this would be. With the pet tanking I could only DPS.Assassin: Not really sure? I could DPS the mobs down alot faster, but I'd get trashed if I took aggro. Still a possibility. What I'd consider playing:Necro: Is there some hinderance to having 2 necros together? Would we have spells that wouldnt stack?Conj: Not too too interested in the class, but I guess one of us could have a tank pet out and the other have a DPS. Same as above.Coercer: Like I said, this was my inital idea. If his pet died, I could always have a charmed pet ready to go and I would be there to mez the boss or any other adds we get. Seemed like a great idea at first, to essentially have 4 people there. But SOE keeps nerfing charm and by the time we get to 70(or even 80 since RoK is coming) they could have nerfed it into nothingness. What other bonuses would having a coercer bring?Wizard: Another class I was actually interested in leveling. While he has his pet tanking/dpsing, I can deal some serious damage. If the mob gets loose or the pet dies, I've got roots to work with. So hmm. That's what I've come up with so far. Any suggestions? Anyone have some experience with this kind of thing?

A double necro duo would be nice. The two group spells that the necro has will stack.

Have the necro use the tank pet with an AA tank pet buff setup and tainted heals.

Have the other necro AA for DPS and with the warlock pet at ranged for DPS.

With this setup you even have the option to charm an undead if one is available for yet another pet, you both will have healing capabilities and on top of that would be able to rezz the other if one went down.

A necro and conjy duo would be about the same, like having a group of four.

Have the necro use the tank pet with an AA tank pet buff setup and tainted heals.

Have the conjy setup for DPS and using the mage wizard pet at ranged for added DPS.

With this setup you chould have a good amount of DPS and the ability to take most anything.

The setup i would probably opt for is a necro and illusionist duo.

As above have the necro set up for using his tank.

With an illusionist you now can have him and his pet for DPS, so your still like being a group of four.

You then will have some crowd control if to many adds get pulled into the fray.

If a fight goes longer than expected then you will also have some power regen available with an Illusionist.
