I just came back since playing when EQ2 first released. I VERY much like the game in its current state. But there is a problem, I refuse to play on a PvE server (played sullon during my time in eq, and everyother mmo I'm on the pvp servers). I know what ganking/greifing/camping/etc is and have had no problems coping and having fun, but EQ2 has my jaw dropping in the ridiculousness the state of PvP is. Without going into the many paragraphs I can make on it, they have been posted, the level-locking, invincible twinks, etc. I can get through t2, im dieing every minute, but I know I can get through it. The thing that is making me having second thoughts on playing EQ2 any further is the fact that I don't know if what im experiencing (hating) with the endless amounts of level-locked [I cannot control my vocabulary] exists in t3 and onward. I'm not going to waste my time any further by getting through t2 and finding out its the same [I cannot control my vocabulary] in t3, t4 and all the other tiers. I noticed at all times there is groups of 70's camping the [I cannot control my vocabulary] carpet in sinking sands just so they can gank the solo level 60-70 player that zones in. How that is fun to people is beyond me. Just like the t2 twinks, does killing new players that are not geared for pvp and get 1 shotted fun for hours straight? I mean honestly fun to me is something that offers a challenge, you [I cannot control my vocabulary] are making people quit the game (I guess that could be fun for many of you, but you are piece of work in real life if thats the case and will get whats coming to you). It really isn't even soo much about the players that are doing this that gets me. ITS SONY AND ITS EQ2 DEV'S, why the [I cannot control my vocabulary] would they not fix this [I cannot control my vocabulary] asap? I mean do they not want new players coming in and staying? If this was any other company this would be fixed asap, its blatantly clear they don't care about the state of the game in anything other than PvE and that is what makes them a sub-par company, sub-par devs and a sub-par mmo. Like I said, I love the game but things like this is what turns this good game into a steaming pile of [Removed for Content].

They're not sitting there JUST to get hold of solo players. In fact a lot of group PvP used to take place in sinking sands until the huge squads of infamy leeching grays started turning up.

In T3, if you've done some time crafting/harvesting you can secure yourself a set of MC gear and be competitive, and in t4 MC gear will let you hold your own against fabled/legendary geared players. The higher you go, the more skills you get, and the more competitive pvp becomes. Post t2 its a whole different game, stick around for it. Pvp after lvl 20 and especially after lvl 30 starts to get fun and actually requires more than godlike gear and one or two combat arts/spells.

I have 2x 70s, 1x 65, 1x 55 and a 34. Why is it that i NEVER had a prolem on the pvp server? Must be just me.

What they said. T3 is much better than T2. T4, well, as long as you avoid the EL docks when you see it's 4-to-1 odds, it's better than T3. Even T7 is good, just don't spend time in the KOS as a solo unless you want to get steamrolled by full groups or raids. And that applies to both teams.
