Just wondering, I set my Antialiasing to 8xS but I gte these lines through text boxes when chating with NPC's and having a choice to click to contuine the conversation further. The lines I see are above and below each line of writing the paragraph in these boxes.

To make it clear, the boxes im talking about are the boxes we click to progress conversations with NPC's, not chat bubbles.

When i turn Antialising to application controlled, it goes away, but in doing so, I get jagged lines, turning it back on makes my 3D pictures nice and curved but the lines come back.

Just wondering if EQ2 supports it or not or maybe I need to increase my screens resolution to get rid of the jaggies.

EQ2 doesn't support AA. There's a reason for this, I think it's that AA uses the same buffers in the graphics card as something else that's used for EQ2's graphics, I forget what. Sorry.

I don't think it is officially supported but it can be enabled and it does work for most. I have it running on four different boxes and don't have any of the issues you describe.

Make sure you are using newer drivers and that you added the necessary line to your eq2.ini.

Bloom usage by EQ2 interferes with AA. Plus, unlike other modern MMOs like WoW, Vanguard, City of Heroes and so forth.. EQ2 developers simply did not bother to include advanced settings into the control panel. Hopefully they'll one day decide to bring it up to current game standards.

Ok, when I turn off AA, water reflections display the screen test images, the ones with the big rectangler red, blue, yellow sections. Its also in block form and appears all over the water face in a repeating pattern, if anyone has any ideas here before I run driver cleaner and download the lastest driver, please go ahead and leave some ideas.
