I've been away from the game for, oh, 2 1/2 years or so. I've read a few posts here referring to a power tap that Inquisitors get. I'm looking through the spell lists @ EQ2i and I'm not finding a power tap ability at all. What is the name of the ability and what level is it gained at? Or is it an AA? I'm not finding it in the AA trees either.

Aha, so it's a very late-arriving line. That's why I couldn't find it.

Suuuuch a nice spell. The best thing is, it's great for soloing or grouping. I think it's one of the big reasons that Inquisitors can stay in the fight longer than just about any other healer except a Defiler.

And just to make it clear, because I grouped with another Inquis yesterday who didn't know, If you put the spell on another group mate, YOU get the power from the procs, not them. So throw it on that scout or bruiser that you're grouped with and watch the power rise.

Is the power tap a straight percent chance to proc per attack or does the proc percent adjust based on weapon speed delay of 3.0 seconds like most proc percentages?

I'm just wondering if it's better to put this on something like an DW melee scout/ monk that's going to be swinging with 1.6 second weapon delays and have a much lower percentage to proc or on a ranger using a 7-9 second delay bow increasing the chance that you will get the proc?

Its a straight percentage tap and it works on any style of attack. Swashy, brig are the most consistent power taps, but a pally or zerker pulling a ton of mobs and going aoe mad is great too. Taunts do not proc the effect, unless it has an attack of some sort.If i only heal, i cannot think of a time when i have run out of power. I choose to pre-ward both reactives unless told not too, leaving me at 98% power on the pull. Even if a fight lasts more that 1 minute, i may only use about 1400 power refreshing reactives (solo 3x, grp 2x) or 2500 power if aggro is bouncing.Adorn your weapon with a power melee proc too. At t7, thats over 200 power a minute for yourself just auto attacking. And lastly, learn the "groove" of your group and make suggestions to the pulling style/dps aggro bouncing when necessary. I regularly do PUGs, and all are unique. The others have it right saying the tank's gear and ability will go a long way in power management.Inhumanus Nex,Nektulous Server
