I have sort of hit a road block at 2000 DPS and am certain I can do more but do not know what I am doing wrong. I am Str/Wis in the main tank group (Coercer,Dirge, Temp for buffs). <a href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/characters/character_profile.vm?characterId=965715104" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">This</a> is my profile (I have relic pants despite what that says). I also have a Lucanic sabre I can use if dual wielding would be more productive. I have a mix of Master I and Adept III, mostly Master I. I open up with Brazening and avoidance/mitigation debuffs and keep swindler's luck on at all times. Is it my gear or am I doing something wrong?

seriously, I dont get it. You are parsing 2k zone wide with that gear? What zones are you raiding? I have relic or better in most spots and using Lucanic sabre with str/wis in the MT group I can hardly bust 1400 zone wide. Either the parsers in my guild are using crap parsers or there is some serious inflation going on of numbers, which is what I actually suspect. I can hit close to 3k on certain fights, but I am calling BS on some of these numbers I have been hearing lately...and this isnt directed at the OPBleeding edge swashes maybe, but not people I have better gear than

Well I have near ideal buffage for how I play (Impetus, dirge buffs, templar proc rate increase) maybe it is your group set up. But I have been seeing the same thing as you, people with similar or slightly lesser gear parsing higher than myself. EDIT: I'm doing KoS, which may be why I parse "high" as I'm sure EoF I would do substantially less.

Huh. That doesn't make sense Miguex.Spec:Str/Agi: 46482Style/half down Potency.Weapons: GDoH/Dark Linger(have better OH but delay doesn't match up with GDoH and no lucanic even atm)Avg parse in MT group: ~1.9-2.3k ZWYou have to take a specific interest in timing your CAs. Its all about timing, knowing when to toss Inspiration/En Garde/Perfect Finesse(hint not at the start of a fight). After timing, you go CA order, what you hit first, what you prioritize to hit whenever its up, etc.Another thing that impacts anyone's DPS is how well your raid Debuffs, how well your raid DPS's(less time to kill something, the more DPS everyone does because the big attacks' DPS is higher, dmg/time of fight) and how long you have to wait before engaging if you rip aggro off of your tank(problem I have when I go on PuRaids).

Shrug, I average 2.2-3k with chel'drak's shard (lol) and str/wis. Gear is solid but far from EoF contested stuff. I suspect I will pick up 5-10% using the soulfire sabre.edit: When in MT group I start off going balls-out in order to generate hate for my tank. Throw down a taunt, start HO, debuff avoidance with double-cross and razor point, then start up with mitigation debuffs and such. If I should happen to peel the mob at any time, it's really no problem at all. With templar/defiler buffs I have about 11,000 hit points and my mitigation is much more formidable compared to our other whimpy scouts and (god forbid) mages, if they happen to pull aggro. Take one for the team, sir! Obviously on a difficult named encounter you should be starting off with T-Swipe (on the pull if you can) and dazzling steel/lung puncture, then debuffing avoidance, mitigation, etc.. but that's another story. Obviously I don't want to peel Mayong off my main tank, but if it should happen, or he gets charmed, I'd rather stand there and tank the mob than an assassin or necro. :O

been thinking about this since last night, and while I am always in the MT group, my guild sometimes lacks some classes on raids. I am interested in your opinions on this.Assume for the sake of this example you do 2000 dps zonewide in an ideal raid, with all the classes and you with everything on you to max your dps.Take the brigand (dispatch) out of the entire raid. What is your ZW now? In other words, how much dps does a brigand add to your parse by debuffing? In fact, I am really interested in how much each class that is normally in the MT group contributes to your dps (not that the brig would be in there, but you get the point)This is the one class we lack the most on raids, our brig has had a suddenly very busy RL.

<p>Dirge makes a tremendous difference. We're often short a brigand, so I can't say on that. But dirge I'd guesstimate at 300 dps, more on AE encounters. Often we get a troubadour instead in main tank group and my dps drops a lot.</p><p>AE encounters or short encounters (high raid dps) really, really inflate the numbers.</p>

I'm actually one of my guild's offtanks - most prevalent in EH. I'm an offtank for something in almost every named fight in that zone. :p</p><p>No I'm not str/sta I'm str/wis.</p>
