I am a lvl 69 necro, still using meldrath's staff due to the +40 to damage, and I would like to create a macro to switch Yeddahd's Caduceus, use it then switch back to Meldrath's. (I already have another thread regarding +damage VS. +INT, so please dont bust my chops about the staff. Hoping to get a Wand of Crystalized Plasma or something better with t7/t8 raids) Outside of a heart macro and a revive macro, I am a neophyte to macro's. So, if you can help, please give me a keystroke by keystroke directions.

Pretty sure it can't be done since macros have no delay in them. I've tried to macro the tinker-made feign death items (equip item, use item) and it only fires if I click it twice.

I've made 2 buttons: The first equips the staff and casts the heal (might have to click it twice to get the heal to work) The second equips my wand and off hand (also may need to click it twice to reequip both items) Can't do it with 1 button I'm afraid, as far as I can tell.

i draged my heal staff to a hot key and have various other weps as well i just push on the button that i want and i also draged my primary weap to one of my hot keys .. sooo i just push the hot key with yedda staff the push the hot key with my primary weap when i want to use it.. takes like a split second then i press the hot key with my regular weap to return to normal.. i never liked macros before.. but now i use them for somethings.. but for the pet heal i find that my original set up works best guess im use it.

Yes, I am quite similar to Davngr1.

I simply created a macro to equip the staff and then cast the heal. I do have to double click the macro to get the heal to go off, or it will ONLY equip the staff. I simply drug the icon for my dagger into the hotbar right next to my staff macro.

I normally have my dagger equipped, but if pet is dying and my Tainted heals are tapped, I double click the staff macro then click the dagger icon again. Takes only a second, but there is no opening inventory, or right clicking needed.

Not sure if the same would work without the macro and just by dragging the staff icon onto the hotbar. I think in that case, it will equip it, but not use it on press, hence the macro. I created it so long ago, not even sure what it says.

Basically do what others have done here and make a couple hotkey buttons with the staff your inventory slot where the staff goes and the one you want to change back to.
