Where are the Tier 5 resource nodes located?

I am guessing that they are in Everfrost and Lavastorm.

Is there any way for a level 27 wizard to harvest there? I have invisibility, if that makes it possible to get to a good place.

My 40 sage got through tier 4 harvesting in the relative safety of the Enchanted Lands. The docks in Lavastorm and Everfrost are pretty scarey though.

for a lowbie ..

Do Rivervale. There is a "safe-ish" area at the front.

From the Fool's Gold towards the Loom ( careful the mobs can agro from inside though ) up around the 1st 2 hills. Watch out for the evil dyrads.

If you are feeling brave .. you can harvest a bit in Shakey's farm.

I've worked on harvesting skill there with a lvl 12 (at the time). You will die a few times. But, meh .. leave your real clothes at home.

If invis is effective, make a circle around the hill the tower sits on and you'll see tons of nodes and be able to see where concentrations of Fallen Rallosians and dragonflies are. Mobs you need to pass will be in the 37-40ish range, and no non-named mob will see through invis if it does work

Another suggestion, assuming you have EoF. The southern end of Steamfront is Tier 5. Not sure if it's safer or more dangerous then the other suggestions, I've only gone there once to harvest, and on a level 70th paladin so didn't pay attention to what "guarded" the nodes. Anyway, might be worth a shot. Worst case, if you've never been to Steamfront, you pick up some AA EXp from discovery hits.

Rivervale is definately your best bet. A relatively big safe area with only one epic mob that spawns every few hours and roams the area. Stay out of the buildings and away from the large hill with the dyrads and you will be reasonably safe.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious here, but how is it possible for a level 27 character to harvest from Tier 5 zones? You won't have the required harvesting skills. You need a 190 harvesting skill for T5, and at level 27 you're maxing out at 135.

Your harvesting skill cap is determined by the greater of your adventure level and your tradeskill level. You can be adventure level 1 and be tradeskill level 70 and harvest in level 70 zones. It's not common, but it's possible. Most of my alts are higher in tradeskill level than they are in combat level, and can harvest in zones that they cannot hunt in. This is a good thing for players who prefer to craft rather than hunt. They hunt harvesting nodes instead of mobs.

I love that feature!
