Unable to login since update 10/10/07

3 accounts, 2 Pc's. All are unable to log in to EQ2 .. I can't get to character select, or if I choose a character at the quick-login, I hang up on the login server. It's EQ2 specific. I am able to log in to LoN and EQ1 just fine.I was playing fine earlier this morning, prior to the update being done.

Not sure what you mean by update? The play button comes up each time and that is all. 1 of the PC's, after trying for the upteenth time, downloaded a delta file of some sort, and was then able to log in to the game. This PC however, is not updating that file, and I assume is the reason I can't login on this computer now. How/what do I do to fix this?

You may want to try and disable the firewall, and antivirus software if they are installed. You may also want to that try running a clean boot, by making sure all unnecessary background programs are disabled. Please follow the directions below on how to accomplish this.To disable background programs. 1. Select the START button.2. Select RUN.3. Type in "msconfig" (without the &quot<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />4. Press OK5. Select the STARTUP tab.6. For Windows 98/ME, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, click on the disable all button.7.Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer when prompted, then try the game again.

<p>I too am unable to login for about 2 weeks. I can get to the zone server every time, but it just hangs there. My secondary PC can still get in just not my main rig. Plz help as I am about fdrustrated enough to close my acct over this. the online support is a looping joke. please assist. I hate to admit it since it will likly get me no help but I have not been able to login since I downloaded TF2 from steam. no matter how I disable it I as well as try other things I have not been able to log. any ideas? </p><p>and many thanks to any assistance I recieve.</p>

since you have two computers, you should try loging into the account form the pc where it doesnt work with the other pc, that way we can figure out for starters if the issue is with the account or with the pc.

<p>thanks for replying- I can indeed login and enter the game from other pc with no issues. just this rig. I was thinking when i installed tf2 some file must have gotten messed up or something or some settingf was changed but I have found none and am not really wanting to downlaod all 12gig of eq2 for asnother install at this point anyway. lemme know what you think?...thanks again</p>
