I need to know what tradeskill makes the most cash because im an outfitter and im noticing my armor dosnt sell very well because there are so many other outfitters and armorsmiths out there selling plate armor. The broker is flooded with it.

Would u agree that armorsmith isnt a good trade to get into? what are your thoughts

There is no one trade that makes more money than the rest, or we'd all be that class! Making money in EQ2 tradeskills is more about knowing and working your server's market than about what's in your recipe book.

The richest toon in my guild makes most of her money as an armoursmith. I think she only makes handcrafted armour for xp. It is on rare armour she makes her money.

Each server has a different market, so each one will have different classes that are more active in putting equipment on the broker. The trick is to find what your server is missing and fill that gap. There is no one class that easily makes money - you have to work for it. Usually common weapons and armor don't sell for very much as treasured items are better. Mastercrafted stuff sells better, but its probably not a very fast market. Of outfitters I've found that Tailors have a wide variety of products that they produce (cloth and leather armor) as well as bags and cloaks. So this makes them a bit easier to level as well.

The best advise has been given before and will be given again - create a tradeskill class that you don't mind playing, or one that will benefit you because they all have their pros and cons and none of them are get rich quick masters. I personally don't like armoer and weaponsmith as its easier for me to buy my armor / weapon ever tier rather than leveling him through an entire tier just to make my own stuff - but your experience will vary.

I personally wouldn't advise anyone to get into crafting to make money. You can make money on all crafting classes, but you'll make more money adventuring tbh as it has no base cost. The outfitting classes do make money even though there are a lot of crafters, you just have to be patient for the sales. The classes that make consumables have the best chance to make money, as the item has to be replaced. e.g. food, arrows, poisons etc. But there are a lot of crafters making these so the individual prices get lowered as players try to undercut each others prices. The best advise ever given about choosing your crafting class is to choose the one you are likely to enjoy. Everything else is secondary.

As in the example, the low level stuff has different appearances than the upper levels. If it was a low level item with the appearance someone wanted, they'd be more likely to buy that than a high level item without the look they were seeking.

If you take a look at the broker, the better crafted items are a couple pages of each 'popular' item, ending with a quite low price and couple people matching that low price.

There are a lot of real dedicated crafters who craft and keep up stock on the broker across all crafts. Can be just one account full of 7 plus characters all selling with max merchant slots. Could be a couple of accounts, seller account, crafters, harvesters and camping team. It's almost impossible for a single person, single account, to keep up with even the price changes.

One can see for themself what it's like, craft something popular, like umm a conj. pet spell or a 5 hour duration drink. price it the lowest, you'll see sometimes within seconds someone else will set a lower price. Your stuff will never sell unless one wishes to stand over the broker going through your list repricing all day.

A person wishing to craft a few decent items to make a bit of coin is out competed by the pro sellers. Not saying it's against the rules or that one will never get a 'lucky sale',,,i mean they could crash, or get banned or maybe one will get a lucky sale those 2 mins your price is lowest.

Used to be crafting was a decent way to make a lot of coin, sure took time to get the components, rares were 'rare' and the mega-stores weren't so dominate 24/7.

These days, well like the others say you could try to find a item you can craft thats not flooded on the broker, But if you're looking for money it's much faster to sell loots to a NPC, sell harvests and what shineys still have value.

Or you could stand at the broker and play the gas station game, 24/7 keep pricing lowest till it sells and restock. just never sleep, and have a huge backstock of rares off your harvest accounts, and crafts off your crafting accounts.

and pray that 'they crash', their country stops allowing them internet access, or they get banned hehe

actually it's still a good market seems like for the crafts requiring raid components and the crafts requiring no drop items and use of crafting stations in dungeons. so you could join a guild that does those things.

woah this is to long sorry, and I do/did like the crafting 'game' but thats when I had some sales. its been *days* from my last cloak sale. I'd like to level my tailor some more but first she has to have the lowest price for more than a min.

Its my experience that all classes can make money from rare crafts, but the way to make the most money from crafting is to be amongst the first crafters to take advantage of a tier. This includes adornments.

Ok which one makes the most $$$$70 warlock70 carpenter70 provisioner70 Mystic70 alchemistThe warlock makes the most money at about 2-5 plat per outing. Harvesting and killing blue to even cons in bonmire selling all to vendors. selling hard metals and pelts on broker. The carpenter makes a killing on repairkits on the weekends and strongboxes on the weekdays. If you are set on picking a tradeskill class go with a class that has a consumable item. totems,potions,poisons,food,drink,arrows... you get the picture.
