Have you ever wanted to show off your tailoring/armour skills?

Ever got a fancy fabled piece of armour that you cant sell or trade? Then what we need is Mannequins! I think this has been overlooked it would be such a simple item to add to your home so that you can hang past armour or HQ items off of it. You could use it to show off the goods that you can make as well as show what the item would look like. I think that it would be a good idea to give carpenters the skill to make better mannequins, so you could have Human, Dwarf, Troll etc mannequins all in different wood. Shouldn't be that hard to code and would add some nice touches to those people who use their homes as shops.

What say you?

not the newest idea but always good to have reminder posts for the devs that such a thing would still be welcome

Amazing idea. There really is so much stuff they could do with appearences, houses, crafting etc..

We've had several threads throughout the years asking for this feature. I've always thought that it would be a good idea.

It took years of pushing to be able to try on stuff before buying it..so maybe we'll see this in the future.

I think it would be a good idea if it was only for armor *you* could wear on your character. I absolutely do not agree one bit that it should include anything you can not wear.

If you include the items you can't wear, the instantly everyone will "need" everything that drops. Then you'll have an entirely new batch of noobs thinking they're justified on rolling on gear they can't use because they "need" it to decorate a house.

I would like the mannaquins to be attunable so that only the owner of the mannaquin could dress the mannaquin. But I would also like to see them have multiple tabs depending on tier (T1 mannaquin = 1 appearance, T2 = 2, T3 = 3 and so on) giving them 2 functionalities ... additional storage for "costumes" (which I am so in need of now with the appearance tab) and the ability to show off outfits/armor.

Tell the "noobs" that you need the item to WEAR, and it's more important than a house item. If they don't listen, boot them from the group. Taking it for a house item would only be used if no one needs the item.

Actually I was thinking I would very much like to have a dress rack with hangers, so you could see all the types of items that can be made. This is especially true for the fluff dresses.

Right now I have one of each in a strong box in the bank, it would be so awesome to go into my house and see them hanging on a rack. You could right click and see the name of it then purchase it from the broker.

I know that we have the dressing room preview, but who wants to click all those dresses to see which one is white for example. Not counting that you didn't even know about the lovely shade of blue dress.

We could have circular racks and straight racks, it would be awesome.

Mannequins would be nice, I am currently making my first attempt at a home as something other than to put crates and quest rewards in, and a mannequin would be nice for the store section. Weapon racks would be nice too, as non-claimed non-sales crate items, but I doubt that will happen.

Yes please! <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and include weapons in this too! And maybe spell books, and potions. maybe add a separate housing item limit to account for the increase in demand for space, or, make items here, take a slot in your bank vault, or if the item is for sale, require a slot in your sales crate/broker box.it would make many things more interesting. buying gear, and such. walking into a well designed store, and buying an item off a shelf or rack.instead of using a sales crate.
