I just started a new Artisan that decided to make Arrows, I never realized they make 25-100 arrows at a time! For the price of all the ingrediants you use to make a batch (which usually averages 75-100 for me) I'm always making a profit, just selling to the NPC VENDOR!!! I didn't realize that Arrow makers could make thing kind of income!I was curious, what other items can a Crafter make then comes in big batches (such as arrows coming in groups of 100's)

<p>Woodworkers (ammo makers) make the biggest Batches. </p><p>Don't get too comfortable with the "profit" on the arrows. </p><p>tier - cost - npc sellT1- 24c - 1sT2 - 96c - 1sT3 - 3s 84c / 3s (loss)T4 - 15s 36c / 15s (loss)T5 - 61s 44c / 61s (loss)T6 - 92s 16c / 92s (loss)</p><p>I would presume it's the same for T7 and soon to be T8. </p><p>Your income after T1 will come from Rangers ... should you make your tradeskiller into a woodworker .. </p><p><img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src=" width="15" height="15" /></p>

And those huge batches are because a raiding Ranger will go through literally THOUSANDS of arrows a night. It takes 1200 arrows to fill the biggest quiver.

<p>I might be wrong but I don't think you actually make money selling arrows back to a vender. You might see some buy back prices change depending on how many arrows you produced with your combine 25/50/75/100 but you should always get only your fuel cost back. For example in T7 it costs 4 fuel to make a batch of arrow (say 150 sp - I know this is not exact but it makes the math easier) if I make 100 arrows on that combine the vender will buy them back at a rate of 1.5 sp each, if I make 75 he will buy them back at 2 sp each 50 arrows = 3 sp and 25 arrows = 6 sp each. So you basically get the cost of 4 fuel back per "completed combine". </p><p>Raiding rangers will go through thousands of arrows a night so there is a market there and dragonhide quivers can hold 2200 arrows which cost about 35 gp in fuel cost alone and 22 combines to fill up. </p><p>It would be really nice to have some type of WW quest that we could do that would provide us with a ‘gnomish arrow multiplication recipe book' The recipe would allow you to make multiple batches of arrows in one combine by using incrementally more materials. Basically using 4x the materials and fuel but produce 4 stacks of arrows. Do you think this would flood the market with too many arrows. </p>

There's a half a dozen WW's on Nektulos (Woodreaux and I are competitors *grin*) who regularly market arrows and we still have market shortages because we insist on doing stuff like adventuring and seeing our RL families. But I'd bet that kind of recipe would be something for the far far far future, doesn't sound like something Domino could just slap together for us. Not to mention if WE got it, everyone would want it. Like Provisioners.

Ok I do want to sell them - but I'll compromise and make the arrows tagged as ‘ranger only' and only work on the Field point recipes. </p><p>Spend more time with your RL family - you mean you actually like yours?</p><p>I thought about the provisioner after writing the post and thinking about how hypocritical I am asking for this after I've had several posts arguing against upping the provisions recipe results. But this change affect me so its ok! </p>
