I don't usually post in this forum, just lurk...but I have a few questions.

We're trying to harvest in EL right now, and it's quite a PITA. I was wondering how hard it is for a duo that has just turned 40 to get Cove of Decay access (I printed out the quest walkthrough) and if it's even truly worth it? Our present crafters are about to hit t5, but I'm thinking it would be nice to have if we needed to harvest for crafters we will eventually have at a later date.

The only real pain that I can see is waiting for the named to spawn. We're keeping an eye out already for Hammerhead, who seems to avoid us like the plague. Having even more on our "watch list" doesn't exactly sound fun...but if it's truly worth the quest, I'll do it.

Thanks for any help y'all can pass along...

Windfeather seems to have some set spawntime (Night I think it was) but Incaluebis was up within 5 minutes, the Banished always seems to be up, and the Gnoll for step 2 is a triggered spawn by approaching and having the quest. Here are the links:

http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Cove_..._-_Prison_Break

http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Cove_...aughl's_Request

http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Cove_...ing_Stormsunder

Duo'd it with a high 20s Guardian and a high 20's Defiler, so I'd think you should not have much trouble. Only Incaluebis was a challenge.

I'd definately say it's worth it. I went back and harvested the heck out of it to upgrade spells for the group of characters leveling up with the Defiler. 4 Necros and a Dirge. That's a lot of Ruthenium!

I believe Anona was noting they already have Hammerhead on their watch list for another quest, and wanted input on how hard the nameds and other mobs would be to track down.Being in the 40's, you should have no problems whatsoever. I think the highest named you have to kill is a 31 ^^^ on the last quest, but the rest of the series should be nearly grayed out to you. As noted by Illma, the spawns for this quest were very easy - very little waiting involved, and you should be able to run through all of these quests very quickly and start harvesting in a single night. With that said, I'd definitely say it's worth it, especially if you can zone quickly. Being able to run into an instance, harvest only the items I need, and get out is a huge help. It can still take a long time to harvest a lot of what you need, but you have the benefit of not worrying about cherry pickers, nor do you have to harvest those weeds... er, shrubs, that are a plague in EL.Good luck to you!Edit: Typo :/

From http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Windfeather"There are no placeholders for this mob despite many erroneous reports that killing deer or crab or lions will cause the creature to spawn. Killing mobs in an attempt to spawn this creature only helps you pass the time. Windfeather remains on a rough two hour spawn cycle in game and will appear for approximately 20 minutes at a time, after which it will depop unless it is killed first."I waited an hour and nothing happened so I looked up some "erroneous reports" and found one that said killing hawks near the beach makes it pop - so I killed one and Windfeather popped! Could have just been the 2 hour spawn cycle triggered at the same time of course! BTW, are there no raws in the version of CoD you get from the A Treaty for Treasure scroll quest?
